Sorry for the lack of tips over the last few days. Life gets in the way sometimes.
Last night there was 6 games.
The Jackets, yes the Jackets, beat the Bruins 5-2. This is the first losing streak this season for the Bruins which started when the Wings and Rangers won the previous two. The Rangers had their 3 game win streak snapped when the Sabres beat them 5-1.
The Battle of the Tkachuk’s saw Matt’s Panthers beat Brady’s Senators 5-0 and this game had a pile of penalties. The Flames beat the Knights 2-1 in OT and the Sharks beat the Caps 2-1.
10 games tonight.
Panthers vs Leafs Betting Tips:
The Panthers played last night and won 5-0 and they are in 2nd in the Atlantic and 7-3 over last 10.
The Leafs have lost their last 2 games and are in 5th in the Atlantic.
The Panthers won the first game between these teams 3-1 on October 19th.
The Panthers are ranked 23rd in GPG with 2.90 and 7th in GAPG with 2.75. The Leafs are averaging 3.42 in both GPG and GAPG which have them ranked 9th and 22nd. Even looking at their records based on where they play and it doesn’t help in trying to find a winner with the Panthers 5-4-1 on the road and the Leafs 5-4-0 at home.
I could see this going either way.
Islanders vs Devils Betting Tips:
Two Metro Divison teams here and both need to get themselves back on track.
The Isles are in 5th and ranked 30th in GPG and 13th in GAPG. They have gone 4-3-2 on the road.
The Devils are in 7th and ranked 8th in GPG and 28th in GAPG.
They met once this season with the Devils winning 5-4 in OT.
The Devils have Hughes and Hischier back but are still missing Haula and Meier. Having your top 2 centers back is really going to help them going forward.

Hurricanes vs Flyers Betting Tips:
This is a big matchup in the Metro. The Canes are in 2nd going 12-8-0, the Flyers are in 3rd going 11-9-1.
On the road the Canes are 5-6 and at home the Flyers are 5-5. Against teams from the Metro the Canes are 4-2 and the Flyers 4-3.
They have played twice this season with each team winning once.
As all of the above stats show, these teams have had similar records and results which make for a tricky play.
Penguins vs Predators Betting Tips:
Both teams are 10-10-0 this season.
To save myself time, it’s the Preds so I’m passing on this game.
Blues vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Blues have had a decent season so far and are in 4th in the Central. The Wild have had a rough go. They have lost their last 7 games and are in 7th in the Central.
These teams are tied for 20th in GPG but the Wild are ranked 31st in GAPG which is a big reason why they are so far down the standings.
I want to take the Blues here but it’s their road play that has me worried with them going 5-5-1 on the road. And to complicate things even more the Wild fired their head coach. Do they respond positively right away?
Stars vs Jets Betting Tips:
This should be a good game.
The Stars are in 2nd in the Central going 12-5-2 and the Jets are in 3rd with a 12-6-2 record.
In GPG the Stars are 9th and the Jets 7th and in GAPG the Stars are 12th and the Jets 10th.
On the road the Stars have gone 7-1-1 and at home the Jets are 6-3-1. So it’s hard to find an edge here for either team.
I could make a case for both teams so I’m staying away.
Kraken vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
The Kraken have been a bit of a disappointment this season. They are 8-9-5 and rank near the bottom of the league in both GPG and GAPG.
The Hawks are in last place in the Central and are without Hall and Perry. They are ranked 29th in both GPG and GAPG.
On the road the Kraken have gone 4-3-4 and in Chicago the Hawks have gone 2-6-0.
With all of that said it would seem like the Kraken are the better play here. I just find it hard when the Hawks play as they have only 6 wins this season but those wins came against some tough teams; the Leafs twice, the Penguins, the Lightning, the Panthers and the Knights. So they should be able to handle weaker teams but they can’t.
With the Kraken on the road and getting whooped in their last game I am skipping.
Knights vs Oilers Betting Tips:
This game is tough to predict for me.
The Knights were, and still are, near the top of the league for the whole season. But they have been shutout 3 times over their last 7 games and are on a 2 game losing skid. They just aren’t playing their best at the moment.
The Oilers have won 2 straight but are still way down in the standings thanks to the awful start they had to their season.
The Oilers, on paper at least, have a team that can explode on any given night as we saw in their last game. But the Knights are due for another run where they dominate the competition.
Easy skip for me.
Lightning vs Coyotes Betting Tips:
The Lightning had the weekend of and haven’t played since Friday when they beat the Hurricanes 8-2. Vasilevskiy made his return in that game.
The Coyotes are coming off of that big win against the Knights where they shut them out 2-0.
The Lightning are scoring more than they allow 3.71 vs 3.52 but I would think that with Vasilevskiy back the goals against will go down. The Coyotes score and allow the same number of goals 3.15 per game.
On the road the Lightning are 4-4-2 and at home the Coyotes are 4-4-0.
With Vasilevskiy back I do expect them to be better but I’d rather wait and see after a few games how things go.
Ducks vs Canucks Betting Tips:
The Ducks come into this game after getting pounded by the Oilers 8-2 and are now on a 6 game losing skid.
The Canucks also lost their last game 4-3 against the Sharks and are 5-5 over last 10.
With the Ducks on that losing skid I like the Canucks chances. They are ranked 1st in GPG, 5th in GAPG and are at home where they have gone 7-1-1.
