10 games yesterday. Had 3 tips yesterday and all 3 saw teams have their winning streaks snapped.
Took the Avalanche to win in regulation but the Habs won 4-3. The loss ended the Avs winning streak at 3 games and the Habs snapped their losing skid at 3.
Had the Canucks to win in regulation but this one needed a shootout where the Jackets won 4-3 ended the Canucks win streak at 5 and also snapping their 3 game losing skid.
Also had the Kraken on their 9 game win streak to beat the Pens which had lost their previous 2. Well the Pens held the Kraken to 21 shots and won 3-0 ended two streaks.
The Wild beat the Isles 5-0 and Fleury picked up his 552nd career win passing Roy for 2nd place on the all-time wins list. The Knights beat the Preds 4-1 and Mark Stone scored a hat trick which was his first regular season hat trick of his career.
8 games tonight
Kraken vs Rangers Betting Tips:
The Kraken played the Penguins yesterday and lost ending their win streak at 9 games.
The Rangers aren’t playing that well going 4-5-1 in last 10. They are still in 1st in the Metro but teams are closing the gap on them.
With the Kraken taking the loss I’m curious to see how they respond. If taking the Rangers it needs to be in regulation and with their recent results it’s an easy pass.
Ducks vs Capitals Betting Tips:
There is nothing for me here.
Both teams aren’t playing well so it’s an easy pass.
Avalanche vs Senators Betting Tips:
The Avalanche played yesterday and lost to Montreal.
The Sens have been off since Saturday. They are 4-6 last 10 and in 8th in the Atlantic and 29th overall.
As expected the Avalanche are the favorites for this game. They played last night and after that loss I’m fine skipping their games for a bit.
Islanders vs Jets Betting Tips:
The Isles played, and lost, yesterday and are 3-5-2 last 10 and in 4th in the Metro. On the road they are 8-8-4, they are a much better home team.
The Jets had their 8 game win streak snapped in their last outing. They are 8-1-1 in last 10 and 15-6-2 at home.
The Isles are a tough team to bet for or against. They’ve had a tough schedule this month and it continues in this one.
Would have to take the Jets in regulation and that’s always tricky against the Isles.
Kings vs Stars Betting Tips:
The Kings played yesterday and beat the Wings 5-2 to end their 8 game losing skid.
The Stars are 5-4-1 last 10. They are 3rd in goals and 15th in goals allowed. They’re in 3rd in the Central trailing the Avs by 4 points and the Jets by 5.
With the Kings playing yesterday and the Stars inconsistent at the moment I’m not really seeing much for this game.
Sharks vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
No. Just no. Last vs second last and no Bedard so not worth watching.
Coyotes vs Flames Betting Tips:
Coyotes are 5-5 in last 10. The Flames are 6-4 and on a 3 game win streak.
The Flames won against the Coyotes on Thursday 6-2 in Arizona.
Over the last 10 games between these teams dating back to 2019 the Flames have won 8. But this year’s Coyotes are a much better team than seasons past .
Now that this game is in Calgary the Flames should use the home crowds energy to help them. Plus they have a winning record at home of 10-7-1 and the Coyotes have a losing road record of 8-9-2.
The Flames haven’t had a game go to overtime since December 14th so when they win its usually in regulation.

Leafs vs Oilers Betting Tips:
The Leafs have lost their last 3 games. The Oilers are on fire winning 10 in a row.
The Leafs continue to have goaltending issues which is killing them. And now the are in Edmonton to play the Oilers who are on an incredible run.
I was looking at the Over but the Oilers are playing well defensively. Over their last 5 games they have a 1.40 GAA. So if that continues we are basically betting on them to do all of the heavy lifting in this game.
I’m that guy who still has faith in the Leafs. I know they have plenty of issues but they are stacked offensively and will get out of this rut soon. I’m just not sure it will happen tonight in Edmonton.
The over is 7 which is high considering their GAA over last 5.
To WIN moneyline: Calgary and Winnipeg
Leans: moneyline WINs: Dallas and Edmonton
Lean: puckline win: Winnipeg
I have little time to look at this today, but I like these matchups on the surface. Oilers, and at home are playing exceptionally well on defense while their offense remains the major threat it’s always been, with good support from depth this season. Leafs can put on a show, but they are SO inconsistent, while the Oilers will be relentless in the playoff push. Probably an Oilers win if the Leafs don’t play at their absolute best, which may be an issue, as they doing the northwest circuit which is challenging.
Calgary has Vladar in net, which is always very good, and with top prospect and NHL-experienced stonewaller Wolf in as backup, as Markstrom is temporarily out with a minor issue again. Arizona is better this year, but that’s relative, better than the lowly Arizona of the past, so the Flames should take this, they’re showing creativity, resolve and depth production this year, much more consistently than the last few seasons. Flames very much need the points and are coming off a week of having their dads along at games, with very high spirits all around. Rock and roll.
With Dallas and Winnipeg, they are at home and rested, while their visitor opponents are both on game 2 of back-to-backs and playing 3rd game in 4 days (so they’ll not be at peak performance). LA has been having serious problems scoring, not good while in Dallas. Winnipeg could knock this out of the park for an eagle on the 18th and a three-point kick in the final minute just for style. Islanders have been having troubles scoring and Winnipeg has been terrific on defense.
notes
Colorado Nichuskin entered player assistance program and may explain the movement in both yesterdays Montreal game and todays vs Ottawa. Colorado depth takes a hit as beyond MacKinnon and Rantanen it gets thin. Drouin has had a good month but whether he can continue to keep his current pace is another story. You may also get a Justus Annnunen vs Mads Sogaard goalie matchup tonight, so good luck with that.
Driedger staring for Seattle after win streak snapped yesterday. Was great vs Calgary but that’s been his only start. Rangers Shesterkin hasn’t been very consistent and every time I think he’s turned a corner he follows it up with a dud.
Kuemper hasn’t been great for Washington who even opted to play Lindgren in back to back games vs the Rangers. Gets a favorable matchup at home vs Anaheim though.
As WesternRattler mentioned Vladar for Calgary and I think Wolf backs him up with Markstrom out day to day.
