Alas, my amazing streak came to an end.
It got to 9-0, and then the Carolina Hurricanes couldn’t get the job done in regulation against the Devils. They were dominant, racked up a 3.008 xG in regulation, but just couldn’t get it past Vanecek.
Let’s look onto Monday. Any Super Bowl hangovers out there? I wonder if any players are affected by that actually. One of those things where it’s likely a factor – but could affect everyone equally right? One of those things to consider, but not sweat over.
Let’s see what we got today:
Devils vs Kraken:
Devils come in off that tight loss to the Canes. They are not a team I’m really interested in backing right now. Kraken lost following the all star break. Corsi & Fenwick close. Devils much worse GA/60 and XGA. But their xGF is much better.
With the Devils defensive frailities, I’m actually kinda liking Seattle here. Just not sure we can trust that offense at the moment.
No play but it’s close.
Rangers vs Flames:
Ooof. No. Flames are crushing it at the moment but such a hard team to trust. COrsi & Fenwick in Rangers favour as are the GF% barely. xGF slightly too. SCG is where Flames are rocking it at the moment. I tell ya I don’t hate a Flames bet here. Has value. But they’ve been a let-down team for me this year and it won’t surprise me if they blow the spot here.
Flyers vs Coyotes:
Philly on a good run at the moment. BIg advantage in Corsi & Fenwick. Their GA/60 is a concern but I think a lot of that is due to the whole Hart situation. They’ve turned over a new leaf coming in from the all star break. xG stats etc look good.
As long as they keep the goaltending up, they can get the job done here.
