I had the Preds to win in regulation against the Canadiens. The Predators were up 2-0 when the Habs scored. On the next faceoff Savard dumped the puck in and it took a crazy bounce off the stanchion right into the open net, as Saros was behind the net to play the puck, to tie the game. That craziness killed any momentum the Preds had and the Habs ended up winning 4-3 in overtime.
The Pens beat the Jackets 5-3 to snap their losing skid at 3 games. The Oilers vs Bruins game was a close one that was won in overtime 2-1 by the Oilers.
The Knights acquired Mantha from the Caps for a couple of draft picks. He should help fill the offensive need they lost when Stone got injured and may miss the rest of the regular season.
A nice a slow night with only 3 games.
Sabres vs Maple Leafs Betting Tips:
This is the 3rd meeting of these teams this season. The last time these teams played the Sabres won 9-3 in a blowout. The first time they played the Sabres also won that one 6-4.
The Sabres are 6-4 in last 10 and 15-12-3 on the road. They have won 5 of their last 7 games.
The Leafs just got their ass kicked by the Bruins but are still 8-2 in last 10 and 17-12-2 at home.
The Sabres are 23rd in GPG, 11th shots, 14th in GAPG and 6th in SOGA. The Leafs are 2nd in GPG, 5th in shots, 20th in GAPG and 15th in SOGA.
After the way the Leafs looked against the Bruins I’m staying away from them.
Red Wings vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
The Wings have lost their last 2 games. They’re 15-12-1 on the road and rank 6th in GPG and 21st in GAPG. Larkin is expected to miss around 2 weeks with a lower body injury. This comes a bad time as they are in the wild card spot.
The Avalanche are 6-3-1 in last 10 and 24-6-0 at home. They rank 1st in GPG and 16th in GAPG. They are in 3rd in the Central Divison.
Similar records over the last 10 and the Wings won the first game between these teams 2-1 in overtime last month. Would lean towards the Avalanche to win but not enough to make it a tip as it would have to be in regulation.
Senators vs Ducks Betting Tips:
Both teams are out of the playoffs and it doesn’t look like they will close the gap as they are about 20 points out.
The Sens are 3-6-1 in last 10 and are on a 4 game losing skid. On the road they gave gone 8-17-1. They rank
The Ducks are 4-5-1 in last 10. At home they have been bad going 9-21-1.
Both teams allow more goals than they score and with both so far out of the playoffs I’m staying away.
