Was a busy night last night with 12 games. Went 1-1 with the tips.
I had the Preds to win if Patera started for the Knights. He did and the Preds won 5-4 in OT. The Knights scored early and often which was the best way to handle the goaltending situation they were in, take the Preds out of the game early. They were up 4-1 after the 2nd but the Preds scored 3 times to tie it and Josi won it in OT to extend their point streak to 18 games
Also had the Canes to beat the Penguins in regulation but the Pens won 4-1. The Pens had only 22 shots and this had to be an eye opener for the Canes. The loss snapped the Canes point streak at 7 games.
The Rangers beat the Flyers 6-5 in OT to clinch a playoff spot, the Bruins beat the Panthers 4-3 to move into 1st in the Atlantic. The Devils beat the Leafs 6-3 and Matthews scored his 59th in the loss. The Caps beat the Wings 4-3 in overtime and it’s only fitting that it did. The Habs beat the Avs 2-1, the Oilers beat the Jets 4-3 in overtime and the Stars beat the Sharks 6-3 and are now in 1st in the Central.
Only the 2 games for us today.
Senators vs Sabres Betting Tips:
The Sens mathematically can still make it in to the postseason but it’s basically impossible at this point. They are 5-4-1 in last 10 and on a 2 game win streak.
The Sabres are 8 points out but it’s also a tall mountain to climb to get back in to the picture. They are 5-4-1 in last 10 and won their last game.
Looking at their results in the last 10 either team has giving me a reason to back them here.
Bruins vs Lightning Betting Tips:
The Bruins played the Panthers yesterday and won to move into 1st.
The Lightning are in the first wild card spot. They’re 7-1-2 in last 10 and 21-9-4 at home. They are 6th in GPG and 23rd in GAPG.
They have played each other 3 times with the Lightning winning 2 but both needed extra time. The Bruins win was a 7-3 pounding in January.
With the Bruins playing yesterday and the Lightnings last 2 games going to overtime I’m fine passing on this one.
I can’t pick sides in these two, so………..

Ottawa vs Buffalo radiates goals gravitating to 6 but it’s iffy. Both teams are unreliable in many ways.
The props in Tampa make more sense, as both teams should be up for this game. Boston on a back-to-back and Vasilevskiy in net for Tampa, so I expect Tampa to show up fully confident and motivated. Tampa has had 2 days off at home, they’re fully rested, and go into 2 more days off at home, so this matchup should be circled with green ink on their calendar.
I’d say the Sabres and Lightning will win, but I’m putting money on the Lightning to score over 3 incl ot/so and Sabres to score over 3.5 incl ot/so. Tampa’s 3 goals mainly cus they’re at home and the Bruins played yesterday. Sabres have been underperforming this season, but Ottawa games tend to be relatively high scoring.
Boston vs Tampa Bay Over 6 +100
I didn’t have time to dive into metrics so this is a more a gut play. Both goalies are solid, but both teams have motivation. Bostons isn’t the same level as Tampas admittedly, but being able to officially clinch a playoff spot and get that out of the way is still enough reason for them to play hard here. That could translate to offense especially if they have to keep pace with Tampa if Lightning can get one early.
