Note: we did a big server upgrade yesterday and it went balls up and had to restore a backup. Lost yesterdays post an there may be downtime today.

I went with the Lightning to win in regulation against the Wings but the Wings won 4-2. They are still in 9th place.
The Isles beat the Flyers 4-3 in overtime to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Jackets beat the Avalanche 4-1 with the Avs outshooting the Jackets 46-25. The Pens beat the Rangers 5-2 snapping the Rangers win streak at 5 games.
The Leafs beat the Panthers 6-4 with Matthews scoring twice to give him 62 on the season. The Jets snapped their 6 game losing skid when they beat the Kings 4-3.

Panthers vs Canadiens Betting Tips:
The Panthers played and lost yesterday. They are 3-6-1 last 10.
The Habs are eliminated so I’m not tipping them. They are 4-4-2 last 10.
Capitals vs Sabres Betting Tips:
The Caps have lost their last 2 games but are 6-3-1 in last 10. They are in the final wild card spot. The Flyers have the 83 points to the Caps 82 but the Caps have 3 games in hand.
The Sabres are out of the playoffs and would need all of the teams they are chasing to go on losing skids to have any chance.
I want to take the Caps as they have been playing well but on the road they are 16-16-4 which isn’t good.
The Sabres have better Corsi numbers, SF and GF/60 but the Caps need to use the games they have in hand to catch and pass the Flyers.
Penguins vs Devils Betting Tips:
The Pens played yesterday and beat the Rangers 5-2.
The Devils are out but still have a chance. They have gone 5-5-0 in last 10 and 17-18-2 at home.
With the Pens playing yesterday and the Devils bad home record I’m passing.
Blackhawks vs Islanders Betting Tips:
Can’t tip the Hawks.
The Isles played yesterday and won in overtime.
Senators vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Sens haven’t been eliminated yet but it’s only a matter of time. They are in 14th place and on a 5 game win streak. They’re 13-20-2 on the road.
The Wild are in 10th place. They are 5-1-4 in last 10 and 19-12-6 at home.
With the Sens on a win streak they have a good shot at winning here but the Wild are closer to the playoffs than the Sens are so they should also view this as a must win game.
Bruins vs Predators Betting Tips:
The Bruins are in 1st in the Atlantic with 101 points. The Preds are chasing the Knights who are in 3rd with the same number of points.
In the last 10 the Bruins are 6-4-0 and the Preds 7-2-1 but on a 2 game skid.
This should be a good game. The Bruins are trying to stay in front of the Panthers in the Atlantic and the Preds are trying to move past the Knights.
Preds better in CF, Bruins better in CA. Preds better SF/60, Bruins better SA/60. Just find this game a tricky one to predict.
Ducks vs Flames Betting Tips:
Nothing here.
Ducks eliminated and the Flames are way out.
Canucks vs Knights Betting Tips:
Canucks are in 1st in the Pacific and as long as they don’t go on a slump allowing the Oilers to climb and catch them, they have a decent shot at winning the division.
The Knights are in 3rd in the Pacific, 10 point back of the Canucks.
This should be a good game. They have similar records based on where they are playing with the Canucks going 21-11-4 on the road and the Knights 23-11-2 at home.
This game could go either way.

I’m only considering the VvsV game. No way I’m betting on anything the Flames are in right now, or 4/5 of the rest of the league. And off the Islanders game, the Islanders aren’t giving clarity here. Minnesota can’t show strength and Ottawa’s on a heater, whatever that means.
