5 games yesterday.
The Devils vs Rangers game was insane. On the opening faceoff there was a line brawl with all 5 skaters fighting each other and 8 players were ejected. Even the coaches were jawing at each other. A few minutes later there was another fight and in the end the teams combined for 162 penalty minutes in the first period. The Rangers won 4-3.
The Lightning beat the Leafs 4-1 and Kucherov broke his own record for points in a season with 129 and counting. The Stars shutout the Oilers 5-0 for their 8th straight win, the Kings beat the Kraken 5-2 and the Canucks beat the Coyotes 2-1.
9 for us tonight. 2 weeks left of the regular season.
Islanders vs Jackets Betting Tips:
Both teams are on 2 game win streaks.
The Isles are 4-5-1 in last 10. They are in 10th place in the East and only 1 point back of the 8th place Capitals.
The Jackets are 3-5-2 in last 10 and in last place in the East. Having already been eliminated they may take on the roll of spoilers at this point.
Despite both being on 2 game streaks I don’t have enough confidence in either to make a play here.
Lightning vs Canadiens Betting Tips:
The Lightning played yesterday against the Leafs and won 4-1.
The Habs are eliminated and have gone 5-3-2 in last 10. At home they have gone 15-18-4.
Lightning played last night so not big on taking them. Even though it’s Montreal I still don’t know.
Bruins vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:
Bruins are in 1st in the Atlantic, on a 2 game win streak and are 6-4-0 last 10. On the road they have gone 21-8-9.
The Canes are in 2nd in the Metro. They’ve gone 8-1-1 last 2, are on a 2 game win streak and are 25-9-4 at home. One thing to think about is they haven’t played since Saturday. Will the time off between games hurt or help them at this crucial point in the season.
Should be a good game between two of the top 5 teams in the league. I don’t know who wins this.
Panthers vs Senators Betting Tips:
The Panthers are slumping at a terrible time. They are still in 2nd in the Atlantic but have gone 2-7-1 in last 10.
The Sens just had their 5 game win streak snapped so I’m curious to see if they can get back on track and keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Penguins vs Capitals Betting Tips:
Big game for both.
The Caps are in the wild card with 82 points in 74 games. The Pens are in 11th with 79 in 75 games.
There is history between these teams thanks to the Crosby vs Ovechkin narrative. Both have been playing well of late and both know how big this game is. I’m not touching it but it should be a fun watch.
Avalanche vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Avs have gone 7-2-1 in last 10 games. They are in 2nd in the Central and have a shot at winning the division. On the road they have gone 18-15-5.
The Wild are 6-2-2 in last 10 and 20-13-5 at home. They are in 10th in the West and it’s going to be a battle for them to get in.
With the Avs road record and the Wild falling out of contention I’m happy to skip this game.
Blues vs Predators Betting Tips:
Big game here.
The Blues are within reach of a spot in the postseason. They’re 7-2-1 in last 10 and 17-18-2 on the road.
The Preds are in the 1st wild card spot and have gone 6-3-1 in last 10 and on a 3 game skid. At home they’ve gone 21-16-1.
The Blues need this game so they should show up. The Preds need to get back on track and have a solid finish to the regular season so they also need this win.
Flames vs Jets Betting Tips:
The Flames are basically eliminated. They are 3-7-0 in last 10. On the road they have gone 15-17-4.
The Jets picked up a win in their last game which snapped their losing skid at 6 games. They are in 3rd in the Central.
With the Flames play over last 10 and the Jets coming off of a 6 game skid I’m not touching this one.
Kings vs Sharks Betting Tips:
The Kings played yesterday so not taking them.
The Sharks are in last place in the league. Also a pass.

I’m off the LA game; LA’s offense is too inconsistent. Tampa is in tough no matter who they play in the playoffs, so I don’t know where their motivation level is today. They might catch Toronto but are they intent on that? Florida is starting to unravel.
