Busy night last night with 11 games. The Rangers beat the Leafs 4-1 with Matthews scoring his 2nd in the loss. The Wings beat the Preds 5-2 with Stamkos scoring his first of the season, and with the Preds, in the loss.
The Caps beat the Devils 6-5 in overtime with Ovechkin scoring his first and Tom Wilson his 5th. The Kraken beat the Flames 2-1 in overtime for the Flames first loss of season and the Sens beat the Lightning 5-4 for the Lightnings first loss of season.
Only 3 games today.
Penguins vs Jets
The Pens lost their last game and are now 3-3 on the season.
The Jets continue to roll. They are 4-0 on the season which is an incredible start for them.
With the way things have gone up until this point of the season you have to think the Jets streak would continue with them at home.
But the Pens older players are still fresh so they should still have some gas left in the tank before it, age, catches up with them. Not saying I’m taking the Pens just that they make a game of this and it needs to be Jets in regulation so I’m passing.
Avalanche vs Sharks
The Avalanche finally picked up their first win when they beat the Ducks 4-3 in OT.
The Sharks continue to struggle and are 0-3-2 to start the season.
With the Avs getting in the win column I want to see if they turn things around as they are a more than capable team to do so.
The data shows them leading in all major categories but we would need to take them -1.5. If the Avs are to get going then pounding the winless Sharks would help the
Yeah I’ll take the Avs here. They need wins and to build momentum.
