Had one tip yesterday and it came through for us. Had the Panthers to win in regulation against the Predators and they did winning 6-2.
Glad I avoided the Blues game as I was going to take them but Utah’s data had me think twice. It was the same thing for the Sabres as I was leaning towards the Rangers but stayed away.
The Jets beat the Avalanche 1-0 and became second team in NHL history to begin a season with at least 13 wins through their first 14 games. Pretty crazy stuff.
A full night yesterday to a slower night with only 4 games.
Red Wings vs Maple Leafs
A game between two teams from the Original 6 are always good games to watch.
The Wings are 5-4-1 in last 10, 3-2-0 on the road and rank 32nd in SOG. The Leafs are 4-4-2 in last 10, 5-2-0 at home and are scoring more than they allow.
This should be a good game and with so much history between these teams it’s tough to try and predict. Sure we can look at the data and recent results but it’s a tough game to call. I feel safer just skipping.
Penguins vs Capitals
Yeah these used to be THE games we would look forward to. The two best players playing each other. Time has caught up to them, as it does, but both players are still great after playing in the league for about 20 years.
The Pens have lost their last 6 games that they have played on the road, are 2-6-2 in last 10 and are in 7th in the Metro. The Caps are 8-2-0 in last 10, 7-1-0 at home and are in 3rd in the Metro.
They are close in Corsi and Fenwick but one area that has helped me make my decision is the goals for and against and expected goals for and against. The Caps are leading both.
With the way both teams are playing I have to take the Caps here.

Knights vs Kraken
The Knights are a team who have been just amazing when playing at home where they have gone 8-0-0 but have struggled on the road going 1-3-1.
The Kraken are on a 4 game losing skid and haven’t been very good af home going 2-3-1 in Seattle.
It’s crazy to think how different my pick would be if this game was in Vegas. But I can’t back them with their road play and can’t take the Kraken with their recent struggles.
Wild vs Ducks
The Wild played last night and this will be the 2nd time they have played back to back this season with the first seeing the lose the 2nd game.
The Ducks have lost 3 in a row and are a team that I have zero confidence in.
So a team on no rest vs a team who is playing badly and it’s and easy pass for me.
