We’re on a nice roll the last few days and we continued that last night as Scott went 2-1 thanks to the New York Islanders.
The Islanders single-handedly went over the 5.5 line in a 7-3 victory to win that bet, as well as score 4 goals which easily won us the home teams -1.5 bet in what was otherwise a tight night. A great night for John Tarvares, and a fantastic night for us with the betting tips.
The only loss was the Rangers who came out firing in the 3rd period but couldn’t find the goal they needed to win, and lost in a shootout.
Still absolutely bloody freezing here. There’s an island close by and a ferry that goes to it every half hour. To show how bad it is the 30 minute trip took over 4 hours last night, as the ferry was stuck in the ice!
You might’ve already seen this but if not it’s worth watching – what happens when you take boiling water and shoot it out of a water gun in this scary weather:
Just hope the weather gets better this weekend for the drive up to Montreal for Habs vs Blackhawks.
Also for any WWE fans amongst us – JAKE THE F’N SNAKE. So great.
Alright it’s January 7th 2014. We have 10 games on board tonight. Fresh off their big win last night the Islanders head to Toronto to take on the Leafs. For general hockey fans we won’t be going to bed early, with Penguins vs Canucks and Ducks vs Bruins amongst the late games.
Let’s get to the tips:
Islanders vs Leafs: Over 5.5
The Islanders offense are on a nice hot streak after last night, and they’ve been able to put in a lot of goals in the road including 5 past Boston and Minnesota and the Rangers in recent weeks.
Leafs are leaking goals but usually can score a few themselves. After the 7-1 loss to New York Rangers I expect Toronto to come out fast and furious tonight, attempting to control the game from the off.
I like this one to go Over 5.5, which you can bet at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines).
.
Wild vs Kings: Kings to Win In Regulation
Bet this at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines) under Money Line 3-Way. 1.80 odds.
Kings came up trumps last time these two played, 3-2 in Minnesota back on October 3rd. That game really doesn’t have much bearing on this one though. The Wild are without Koivu, their most influential player which is a big loss. While I’m sure they’ll get back on track without him – I love taking the Kings against the Wild in his first absence.
Harding is also on the IR. Kings will grind out the win here, with Quick hopefully doing the business. Back LA to win in regulation.
Hurricanes vs Sabres: Hurricanes to Win
This one is a pickem and I’m taking the Carolina Hurricanes to pick up the win.
Carolina always match up well with Buffalo. While Buffalo have a nice little run going at home, the Canes are on a nice run and their offense is looking strong. Skinner is on a major hot streak which I can see continuing tonight.
I don’t think this will be an easy game, but in a pickem I like the Canes to pick up the win here. Back them at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines).
Value Bet: Islanders -1
Toronto are still struggling at home, and they’re coming off the huge 7-1 loss to the Rangers. Islanders are coming here as surprise underdogs at 2.25. A lot of that could be due to the last time they played here in November, when the Leafs beat them 5-2.
Either way I think there’s value in the Islanders winning straight up at 2.25. But I’d go one step further – at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines) we can change the puck line. Change that to the Islanders -1 and we get 3.4 odds on the Islanders winning. Some great odds there and worth the bet purely for value.
Leafs are leaking goals? one night off and other than that bernier has been a stud. The over still looks nice but Leafs for the win if you want to make money
Hahahahahha Leafs fan, typical betting with their so called heart instead of their head. Well done. Leave the advice to the guys with the website and track record.
What he said.
Donny hasn’t returned to back up his opinion…shocking!! when you are anonymous on the internet. Ohhhh Leafs fans.
hey grant your sick man. Tough loss last night but hey you cant win em all. Whos your team? your probably some sens fan whos only chance at winning is when the leafs lose. your a joke
