Only the one game yesterday and we skipped having any tips for it.
It was the Flyers vs the Blackhawks. A uneventful game but the Hawks won. Was nice for me being married to a Flyers fan.
Less than a week until the season ends and I can’t wait. A busy night with 13 games. And even with 13 games I could only find 1 tip to go with.
Wings vs Leafs Betting Tips:
The Leafs are heavily favored here. But they haven’t been that good over their last 3 games. They lost to the Lighting 8-1, lost to the Panthers 3-2 in overtime and then beat the Caps 4-3 in shootout.
With their recent results it’s tough to have a pile of confidence in them although the Wings are a much easier team then the last 3 they faced. We would have to take the Leafs -2.5 and I’m not doing that.
Devils vs Senators Betting Tips:
Nothing I like for this one. Both are put of the playoffs. The Sens have 69 points and the Devils have 62.
Both teams have bright futures ahead of them with all the young talent they have but this wasn’t either teams year.
Oilers vs Penguins Betting Tips:
The Pens are the favorites and the Oilers want to get points to ensure they can stay in 2nd in the Pacific and have home ice in the 1st round. They currently have a 2 point lead over the Kings with one less game played.
Not sure which team wins here. The Oilers have been better over their last 10 but the Pens are at home.
Panthers vs Bruins Betting Tips:
The Panthers have 4 point lead over the Avalanche for 1st place overall. This,on paper, is the toughest matchup they have left with only the Sens and Canadiens left on their schedule.
The Bruins are still chasing the Lighting to get into 3rd place and a 1st round matchup with the Leafs. They are 3 points behind them.
The Panthers had their win streak snapped at 13 games so they will be looking to start another and the Bruins want 3rd place and a date with the Leafs. Should be a good game but not sure who wins it.
Hurricanes vs Rangers Betting Tips:
This is probably the game of the night. The Canes are in 1st place in the Metro with 112, the Rangers are 2nd with 108.
If the Canes win here they lock up the Metro Divison. The Rangers need to win this game if they want to win the division. This should be a good game and a fun one to watch. But I’m not sure who wins. It would make for a better finish to the season if the Rangers win but I can’t make that a tip.
Jackets vs Lightning Betting Tips:
The Jackets have nothing to lose here. The Lightning have won 3 in a row and are scoring at will with 8, 6 and 8 in their last 3.
They know they need to win to make sure to stay in 3rd and play the Leafs in round 1.
With the way the Lightning have been playing an scoring I could see this game being high scoring. They have gone over the last 3 games basically by themselves. They played once this season with the Lightning winning 7-2. I feel there’s enough there to back the over in this game

Islanders vs Capitals Betting Tips:
The Isles have lost 5 straight and the Caps have gone 7-1-2 over last 10.
The Caps are in the final wild card spot and as of today they would be playing the Panthers in round 1. I’m not sure anyone wants to face Florida so they will be trying to catch and pass the Bruins who are in 7th.
Ovechkin is listed as day to day after he went into the boards and left the game on Sunday. With the playoffs about a week away the Caps will be cautious with him and won’t rush him back. Would need to take the Caps in regulation and without Ovechkin I am skipping.
Flames vs Predators Betting Tips:
Ya I have no idea here.
The Flames have won their last 2 and have gone 8-1-1 over last 10. The Preds have lost their last 2 and are 4-4-2.
The Preds are in the first wild card spot but have only a 1 point lead over the Stars. To stay there they will need to win out to stay in front of Dallas.
With the Flames already winning the Pacific they may take it easy and the Preds in need of points they could make this a game. Still not tipping games with the Preds so skipping this.
Coyotes vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Coyotes are bad and the Wild shouldn’t have any problems winning here.
The Coyotes have dropped 10 straight and the Wild have won their last 5.
I like the Wild to win but no value at all betting them. It’s about 1.83 for a -2.5 play which is really low.
Knights vs Stars Betting Tips:
Big game here I guess. The Knights have crumbled and find themselves 3 points behind the Stars who are in the final wild card spot.
A weird situation going on with the Knights and Lehner. It was reported that he was done for the season with a knee surgery. Coach DeBoer said “Not to my knowledge. It was a maintenance day today. I expect him at practice tomorrow. I expect him dressed on Sunday”. He was on the bench in their shootout loss to the Sharks. But they are now saying that he is indeed getting surgery. Just a puzzling situation and it doesn’t look good on the Knights.
The Stars need to win here to distance themselves from the Knights.
With so much on the line for these teams in the standings it’s tough to call how each team will perform. I learned my lesson a little while ago and I am avoiding Knights games as they’re a mess and too hard to predict.
Blues vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
The Avalanche are guaranteed 1st in the West so they may take it easy with nothing to gain or lose.
The Blues are in 3rd in the Central and are tied with the Wild who are in 2nd but have an extra game left to play.
They have played twice with each team winning once but that was in the first month of the season.
Tough to call this game. The Avalanche are looking to reclaim the Presidents Trophy and need to win out to do that, the Blues want home ice in the 1st round. This should be a good game but a tricky one to call. The Blues have won 3 in a row and the Avalanche have lost 4 in a row. Have to skip this.
Kraken vs Canucks Betting Tips:
There isn’t anything I like for this game.
The Kraken are out and the Canucks are basically in the same boat.
Ducks vs Sharks Betting Tips:
Nothing I like here.
