Just the one game last night and it was a hard fought game between the St. Louis Blues and Dallas Stars. An explosive third period put the game over – which Graeme had bet/tipped – and the Blues continue their excellent record of winning road games in the playoffs.

It was a thrilling game and sets up an interesting Game 4 on Wednesday.

Tonight the two series taking place switch venus as the Columbus Blue Jackets host the Boston Bruins, and the Colorado Avalanche host the San Jose Sharks.

Should be two good games with both series tied at 1-1. Let’s get to it:

Bruins vs Blue Jackets Game 3 Betting Tips:

Scott: This has been a close series with both games needing OT. The Jackets have been able to keep the Bruins top line in check with Bergeron and Marchand being held scoreless and Pastrnak having only one.

With the series moving to Columbus I would like to say the Jackets win but I can’t as the Bruins top line is due for a breakout. This series has been close and this is anyones game so I’ll avoid a tip.

No Bet

Graeme: That Bruins top line really does add variance to the game. It’s almost like they can flick a switch and boom – game won.

In the playoffs the Bruins won twice on the road as they beat the Leafs.

Both these teams are very evenly matches, and honestly I’m fine with small bets on it going to OT each time, odds dependent of course. 0.5u on the game going to OT.

Sharks vs Avalanche Game 3 Betting Tips:

Scott: Avalanche coach Jared Bednar put his top line back together for game 2 and they combined for 5 points including the game winner.

The Sharks are still without Pavelski who suffered a concussion but thankfully for them they are a deep team.

Both games 1 and 2 hit 7 goals so I expect another high scoring game. The Avalanche stole home ice when they split the first two games in San Jose so they will be looking to keep that going while the Sharks will try to regain home ice.

Tough to call a winner so I’ll go with the Over instead.

Over 6 incl OT – 0.5u

Graeme: The Avs beat the Flames twice at home with a 6- win and a 3-2 win. Sharks were able to win just once on the road when they beat Vegas 2-1 in that double OT game.

I like the Avs to win this but the odds aren’t there. I agree with Scott – these two teams have had high scoring games in the playoffs AND the regular season. I’m surprised that the bookies haven’t set the line higher but I’m good with Over 6 incl OT for 0.5u as well.
