There was 10 games yesterday.
The Panthers beat the Leafs 3-1 in a close game. The Panthers are now 2 back of the Lightning and 4 back of the Leafs. The Sabres are still alive when they won 3-0 against the Canes for their 5th win in a row. With the Canes losing the Caps clinched the Metro Division.
The Habs picked up a huge 4-1 win against the Wings to move a little closer to clinching a spot. The Jackets beat the Sens 5-2 and are now 8 points back of the wild card. The Sens clinched a spot thanks to the Wings loss. The Canucks beat the Stars 6-5 in OT and are 6 point out with 4 games remaining.
Another night with 5 games.
Leafs vs Lightning
Big game here in the Atlantic.
The Leafs played the Panthers last night and lost. They are 7-2-1 in last 10 and in 1st in the Atlantic.
The Lightning are in 2nd place in the Atlantic and only 2 points behind these Leafs. They are 6-3-1 in the last 10.
This is huge game in the standings. Only 2 points seperate these teams so it’s going to be a fun watch.
Flyers vs Rangers
The Flyers have been eliminated from the playoffs. They are 3-6-1 in last 10.
The Rangers are in 10th in the East and 8 points back of the final wild card spot. They have gone 3-6-1 in last 10 and have lost their last 2 games.
I would like to see the Rangers get into the playoffs as I always have a soft spot for the original 6 teams. But for that to happen then the Canadiens would have to be eliminated.
Sharks vs Wild
Sharks have been eliminated. They have lost the last 6 games in a row and are 2-7-1 in last 10.
The Wild are in the 8th and final wild card spot and 2 points behind the 7th place Blues and 4 points ahead of the 9th place Flames. They are 4-4-2 in last 10.
Would need to take the Wild -1.5 and even then the value isn’t worth it.
Blues vs Oilers
The Blues had their win streak snapped in their last game but are still in 7th in the West. I’m curious to see how the respond to taking that loss as they haven’t yet clinched a spot but busted their asses getting to where they are.
The Oilers are 5-4-1 in last 10 and have lost their last 2 games in a row. They are in 3rd in the Pacific, 4 points back of the Kings and 6 ahead of the Flames who are in 9th.
No tip here. Oilers too many injuries and the Blues just had win streak snapped.
Flames vs Ducks
The Flames are in 9th in the West and are 4 points back of the Wild. They are 6-2-2 in last 10 and need to continue to play well to get themselves back into the playoff picture.
The Ducks have been eliminated and are 5-4-1 in last 10.
Would have to take Flames in regulation but 5 of their last 9 games needed extra time so I feel better just passing.
OMG! How the h*** did dallas loose with 5-2 in the lead late in the 3rd. 3 goals in the last minute – wtf ???
Never saw it, but that is just catastrophic. Match fixing ?!?!
Habs at least played beautiful canadian hockey!
Another tough night, maybe Blues …?
I am having a hard time backing Blues since streak is broken as well… i dont know, NYR/PHI over 5.5 total? Both goalies in that game have terrible GAA
TOR team total over 2.5 if they can put their big boy pants on… i wont be betting it BUT it has hit 7/10 last games… Vasilevsky is turning his skills ON lately
