Well after a rather subdued Saturday, it ended up being business as usual in the NHL on Sunday with some real good games.
The Dallas Stars continue to amaze by outscoring the Colorado Avalanche in a big way. The Dallas Stars pulled off a massive 5-4 win to take a 3-1 lead in that series. Stars have to be a team that neutrals are pulling for at this stage. What a time for their offense to come alive.
The Flyers fought hard but the Islanders got the 3-2 win and that series is looking like a foregone conclusion at this point. Flyers just don’t have the firepower.
Canucks got the goals but it wasn’t enough as the Knights put them on the brink of elimination, with a 5-3 victory.
Two games taking place today with the Bruins, down 3-1, going up against Tampa and the Avalanche, down 3-1, looking to figure out a way to stop Dallas.
Bruins vs Lightning Betting Tips:
Graeme: I remember thinking and saying early on that I had a weird feeling this series would go the same way it went in 2018 and it’s looking like that is the case.
Bruins have their backs against the wall here but I think they are toast. Lightning over the last two games especially have just looked so much better and Bruins look done. Boston just haven’t shown that they have what it takes and honestly when you’re one game away from leaving the bubble? Especially after everything the last few days? I wouldn’t blame them if they phone it in.

Scott: The Lightning got off to a fast start and scored the first three goals of the game and won 3-1 and lead the series 3-1. After losing the first game, the Lightning have now won 3 in a row. Palat continued his strong play scoring twice. Over the last two wins the Lightning have allowed only 2 goals.
The Bruins need to find a way to get a win here and stop the Lightnings win streak. They are a good team who was the best team during the regular season so they will find a way in this one. It would be a shame for them to have the regular season they did to be eliminated in 5 games. Their opponent tonight know about this all to well.

Avalanche vs Stars Betting Tips:
Graeme: I mean there’s not much to say here is there? The Avs can’t overcome the Stars. Stars offense is clicking at an unbelievable rate and they’re proving that the yare the better team. I was impressed the Avs were even able to get back into the game yesterday as they were an absolute disaster that 1st period.
Honestly it wouldn’t shock me if the Avs just don’t show up tonight and the Stars clean their clocks. Avs are still performing well offensively though. There’s a good part of me that thinks we see a solid but unspectacular win by the Stars tonight but bets like that aren’t fun. Plus I’d much rather go with a play where the stats are behind it rather than a total gut play. I’ll go with Over 6 Goals incl OT and hope this series keeps going the way it is.

Scott: The Stars took little time getting into this game. They jumped out to a 3-0 lead and at one point they has out shot the Avalanche 10-1 and held them without a shot for 18 minutes of the 1st.
The Avalanche managed to score twice in the 2nd to bring it to 3-2. But in the 3rd both teams scored 2 goals each and the Stars won 5-4.
The Stars are leading the series 3-1 and they deserve it due to their play so far. But I have to think that the Avalanche will at least pick up one more win in this series and it would have to be this game or they’re out with a loss.
