Only three games yesterday.
The Hawks beat the Rangers 2-1, the Red Wings beat the Sabres 6-5 in a shootout and the Canadiens beat the Ducks 3-2 also in a shootout.
11 tonight. I have to keep these short folks as I need to go get a heart monitor put on, installed, whatever they do with it and I can’t be late for that appointment. Each procedure gets me one step closer to normalcy just need them to address my liver and kidneys next. Damn I miss beer sooo much after 5 months. I won’t have any tips today but wanted to have something posted so you guys can discuss in the comments.
Flyers vs Jackets
Flyers on 3 game skid. 9 of their last 15 games needed extra time.
The Jackets have needed extra time in in 3 of last 9 games.
With both needing so much overtime I have no idea how this game is going to go.
Sharks vs Hurricanes
Both are 4-5-1 last 10.
For ranking the Canes are 4th in GPG, Sharks 24th, for shots and shots on goal allowed there Canes are 2nd in both and the Sharks are 25th and 26th.
Avalanche vs Penguins
Similar records last 10.
The Avalanche can show up at times like they did against the Devils and couple nights ago.
The Pens are on a 4 game home win streak and are 5-1 in last 6.
Leafs vs Devils
Leafs are a better home team, 12-4-0, thank road team 4-5-2. Devils are a better road team, 11-4-0, thank home team 6
7-6-2.
Kings vs Islanders
Kings on a 5 game win streak but I see that they play much better at home where they have gone 10-2-1 vs their road record of 6-6-2.
Isles on a 2 game win streak but are 4-4-2 last 10 and 5-6-2 at home.
If Kings were at home I would take them here but their road play doesnt give me confidence
Bruins vs Jets
Bruins have won 4 straight it wasn’t against top of the standings teams and 2 of them need overtime but they should be able to ride the momentum.
The Jets are the first team to 20 wins but they haven’t been playing well.
Flames vs Predators
Flames are 4-4-2 last 10 and have lost their last 2 in a row. They is no way I’m touching the Preds right now as they’re riding a 7 game losing skid.
Lightning vs Oilers
Both on 2 game win streak and also 6-3-1 in last 10. They also have slight winning records based on where they are playing. The Lightning are 6-5-1 on the road the Oilers are 7-6-1 in Edmonton.
With the players playing in this game there is the potential for this to be high scoring.
Wild vs Utah
Wild are first in the Central and are tied for 1st overall in the league. They are 7-2-1 in last 10. They are ranked 1st in GAPG.
Utah have won 2 in a row and are 4-5-2 at home.
Panthers vs Kraken
Panthers won last 2 and 5 of last 6. They are 8-4-1 on the road.
Kraken are 7-6-1 at home and are 3-1 last 4 after coming off of that big win against the Rangers.
I’m a fan of the Panthers here but the Kraken can surprise teams they just can’t do it consistently.
Blues vs Canucks
Both 5-4-1 last 10 and lost their last game.
Demko is ready to return which is only going to help the Canucks. Lankinen has been great in his absence going 13-4-3.
The Blues aren’t a team that I bet on. I haven’t seen anything from them.
