A busy day yesterday with some crazy games and drubbing, as the Penguins destroyed the Habs, Oilers the Wild, and Tampa the Flames.
Alas it was an 0-2 day yesterday for Scott as the Caps goalscoring rush couldn’t come through. They were able to get the W but only in regulation. And the Preds ended their slump in a big way.
We go from all of that to just the one game tonight.
Hurricanes vs Senators
Carolina come in with some weak form, while the Senators come in faring a bit better over their last few games.
These two squared off here on the 16th of November with the Canes running out 4-0 winners.
Some of the Sens advanced metrics aren’t too bad here. Like – I could definitely see them getting the win based on that. But there just isn’t enough to actually back it. Canes without Drury too.
There is value on the Sens at 2.70 but it’s one of those value plays where they are still expected to lose the majority of the time so I never like to back those publicly. Too high variance.
Carolina Necas to score +160
Carolina Aho to score +170
Carolina Gostisbehere to score +650
Hoping at least two of these hit. Dunno if the strategy is the greatest though.
Ottawa has conceded at least one power play goal in 9 of their last 12 games. Including 2 the last game these two teams faced each other. Carolina has scored at least one power play goal in 12 of their last 16 games. This could lead to extra opportunities for Carolinas top line to get a goal.
Svechnikov and Jarvis would be other candidates if you prefer.
