Hi guys,
It was a 1-0 night last night. The Knights delivered with their win in regulation.
A quick note that I’m away this weekend on a family trip, so write-ups will likely be short. Sure I could just take the weekend off – but I feel that has negative long-term effects. If I’m not betting/tipping I feel I lose track of the flow of how the teams are playing etc.
I like being able to keep up to date on a day to day basis. So tips will be short in terms of write-ups but I’ll put in the usual analysis beforehand.
Let’s get onto todays:
Ducks vs Coyotes:
The Ducks come in off that big win over the Kraken. I like them to win here but the regulation odds aren’t enough. It would have to be the handicap and the Coyotes have had some quite close games lately. Ducks are also a hard team to bet to cover the spread. Just twice in their last 10. When they win at home they usually cover though.
Looking at empty net stats – Coyotes have 4 allowed in 11 games. Ducks are a bit all over the place with 5 scored, 3 allowed going against an empty net.
Seems like a real 50/50 one and as the odds on -1.5 are 2.00 I’ll have to pass.
Blackhawks vs Predators:
Not really betting Preds games right now and with them on a B2B I’ll pass. If the Blackhawks were underdogs I may look to bet them but they’re 1.80ish favourites so an easy pass.
Jets vs Capitals:
Passing. Coinflip odds which seems 100% accurate right now with the way the Jets are.
Blues vs Stars:
Stars struggling and on the road in St. Louis. They just got blasted 4-1 off them.
Stars were without Hintz and Radulov in that game but both are expected to be back tonight against a depleted Blues team.
Blues do have some players back though which is good news. Lindgren may still be in net and why not.
I feel the odds are fine with rolling the dice on the Blues here. Despite how depleted they are, they have some great team chemistry and are playing well. Stars offense has been weak and with how well the Blues are playing defensively – if Stars don’t get an early goal it may really stifle them.

Penguins vs Sabres:
Pens on a tear. Sabres performing a bit better lately though. Would have to be Pens -1.5 but this is one of those games where I kind of look at it and think it can be a trap spot for the Pens. No bet.
Rangers vs Knights:
If Knights weren’t on a B2B I’d like to take them here. I think Rangers are going to be in a rough little spot in the lead up to Christmas. That’s enough to put me off though.
