5 games yesterday and we had 1 tip.
Went with the Stars to win in regulation against the Kraken. The stupid Kraken pulled their goalie and scored to tie it at 3-3 with only 22 seconds left. The Stars won 4-3 in overtime.
The Ducks won their 2nd in a row when they beat the Red Wings 4-3. Larkin made his return and picked up an assist. The Pens beat the Wild 4-3 and Crosby passed Recchi for 13th place on the all-time points list with 1534 and added a goal for his 1535th point.
The Canadiens scored the first 2 goals of the game and the Jets scored the next 2 and the game needed overtime where the Habs won 3-2. The final game of the night was the Panthers vs the Flames and the Flames won 3-1 .
Its the usual busy Tuesday with 11 games for us.
Knights vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:
The Knights have 6 wins this month and 2 of their more recent ones came in overtime.
The Canes have lost their last 2 games and both were in extra time.
The Knights play much better at home where they have gone 12-3-2 in Vegas but are still a good road team going 9-3-3. The Canes are at home where they have gone 8-2-3 which is much better than their road record of 8-10-0.
The Canes are 2nd in shots and 1st in shots allowed but the Knights are 3rd in goals allowed. So this could be a good game.
The Canes last 2 games needed overtime and 2 of the Knights last 4 did too. With so many close games for both teams it’s hard to try and predict a game when both teams have shown they can keep it close no matter the outcome.
The Canes goaltending has been a huge problem for them this season, they allow the fewest shots but are 19th in goals allowed so it’s not a good sign for them. And seeing the Knights are in the top 10 in GPG so I’ll take them.

Flyers vs Devils Betting Tips:
The Flyers are 7-1-2 over last 10 and the Devils 7-3.
The Flyers are in 2nd in the Metro and the Devils 6th but there is only 4 points separating them.
They played once this season with the Devils winning that one 4-3 in overtime.
The Flyers have played 7 games in December and 4 of them have needed extra time
I’m passing. I think the Flyers aren’t as good as their record shows and I think the Devils are better than theirs.
Jackets vs Sabres Betting Tips:
Nothing from this one I like.
Blues vs Lightning Betting Tips:
The Blues road record is 6-9-1 and the Lightning have gone 8-3-3 at home.
The Lightning score more per game, it’s fairly even in both shots and shots allowed and the Blues allow fewer goals than the Lightning do.
It’s an easy pass for me. Both teams are hovering around .500 which isn’t something that helps me back either.
Wild vs Bruins Betting Tips:
The Wild have lost their last games yesterday but are still sitting around .500 on the season going 12-13-4.
The Bruins are in 1st in the Atlantic and 4th overall. At home they have been strong going 10-2-2.
I don’t trust the Wild at the moment. Sure they have won 3 straight before last nights win but are still a .500 team.
I want to take the Bruins but the injuries they have has me put off of taking them here.
Rangers vs Leafs Betting Tips:
Should be a good game not only between two of the top teams in the East but also 2 Original 6 teams.
The Rangers are 11-4-1 on the road and are ranked 12th in GPG and 8th in GAPG. The Leafs are 9-4-2 in Toronto and are ranked 2nd in GPG and 17th in GAPG.
They pounded the Penguins in their last game 7-0 and they did so without their leading goal scorer Matthews who was out sick.
The Leafs are 6-1-3 last 10 and the Rangers are 6-4. So basically the same record but the Leafs gained a point in 3 of their losses.
This one could go either way. I would lean towards a Rangers win due to their road record but I can’t make it a tip.
Oilers vs Islanders Betting Tips:
Yeah. The Oilers are so tough to try and predict. They are 8-2 over last 10 but have lost their last 2 in a row.
The Isles are 6-2-2 over last 10 and have also lost their last 2 games. Half of their 8 games this month required extra time.
The Oilers had won 8 in a row before losing the last 2. I would prefer to see them get back on track before I tip a game with them involved as they are quickly joining the Preds on my list.
Canucks vs Predators Betting Tips:
Speaking of the Preds, you probably know by now, I rarely tip a game when the Preds are playing.
I would love to take the Canucks here as they are 7-2-1 last 10 and in 2nd in the Pacific.
But the Predators have won 4 straight with 2 of the 4 going to overtime.
It’s a pass.
Avalanche vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
Well, as you can imagine, the odds are on the Avalanche here.
It shows you just how bad they Hawks are when a team who is on the road and has gone 4-4-2 over last 10 are still the favorites.
The Hawks have lost 4 in a row are are 2-7-1 last 10. In years past the Hawks were always a strong home team but that’s not the case this season where they have gone 5-8-1 in Chicago.
Would need to take the Avalanche -1.5 and I just can’t do it.
Senators vs Coyotes Betting Tips:
The Sens are a mess at the moment losing their last 4 games. The Coyotes have won the last 10 and are a decent 10-5-0 at home.
It should be a game the Coyotes win but I’m not confident enough in them to make it a tip.
And the Sens finally fired their coach and brought in Jacques Martin who won the Jack Adams Award with the Senators in 1998-99. They also brought in Senators legend Daniel Alfredsson as an assistant coach.
New coach so I’m staying away but I am curious to see how the team responds. It was only a matter of time until Alfie started coaching. I didn’t like him when he was a player as he won the Calder Trophy when my Blackhawks had a guy who should have won it that year in Eric Daze , but have come to respect the guy since as he was a great player.
Kings vs Sharks Betting Tips:
The Kings are in 3rd in the Pacific with 38 points, the Canucks are in 2nd with 44 and the Knights 1st with 47. The Kings have 5 games in hand over each of those teams so if they can get their shit together they can climb. But going 1-2-1 over last 4 isn’t helping them.
It’s the Sharks so not much to say. They are last in GPG, GAPG, SOG and SOGA.
I do think the Kings win this game. Their road record is great going 12-1-1 but it comes down to the odds. Taking them in regulation doesn’t quite hit our minimum but it’s close and I’m going with it.
