A slow night with only 4 games and we had 1 tip.

I had the Wings to beat the Sabres and this turned out to be a good game but one that was a loss.  The Sabres were up 4-1 after the 2nd and the Wings scored 3 unanswered in the 3rd to tie it.  It was the Sabres winning the game in a shootout.

The Leafs beat the Sharks 3-1 and Marner scored an empty net goal at the end to extend his point streak to 18 games which ties a team record.

The Rangers beat the Sens 3-1 and Halak picked up the win which was his first of the season.  The final game was the Oilers vs the Hawks and the Oilers won 5-4.

A busy night with 11 games.

Lightning vs Flyers

The Flyers won their last game which stopped their losing streak at 10 games.  Ending the month with a win they will be looking to get themselves back on track.

The Lightning lost their last game and are 6-4 over their last 10.

I would like to take the Lightning here but the Flyers are at home and picked up a much needed win in their last game.  I would have to take the Lightning in regulation to hit our minimum and maybe the Flyers show some life.  Have to skip

Avalanche vs Sabres

The Avalanche have gone 7-3 over their last 10, have the top ranked power play and are on the road where they have gone 7-4.

The Sabres are at home where they have gone 5-7-1 and over their last 10 have gone 3-6-1.

With the Avs in 3rd in the Central they could use this win to help them in the standings.   This is the Sabres 4th game this season on no rest and have gone 1-2.

Avalanche win in regulation

Everyone Else: 1.83 Odds at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv

(Odds correct as of 2022/12/01 9:43:20 AM EST but are subject to change.)

Knights vs Penguins

I would say I will take the Knights in this one.

But with the news coming out that Letang suffered a stroke and is going to miss some time, the Pens might use that as motivation moving forward.

The odds are close for both teams but I’m skipping.

Predators vs Devils

As it’s been for most of the season,  when the Devils play its hard to bet against them.

They have gone 9-1 over last 10 and are at home where they have gone 9-3.

The Preds are 10-9-2 this season which has them in 5th in the Central.

I like the Devils chances here but so do the sportsbooks.   I would need to take them in regulation but 3 of the last 4 games for the Preds have needed overtime.

Oilers vs Wild

The Oilers won last night but it was against the Hawks so how much motivation do they get from beating one of the worst teams in the league by a single goal?

The Wild are 5-4-1 over last 10 and are 5-6-1 at home this season.

With the Oilers on a 3 game win streak I give them the edge here but not enough to make it a tip.

Hurricanes vs Blues

The Blues are 11-11 this season so they haven’t had a great start but they have gone 7-3 in their last 10.  The Canes are 12-6-5 and in 3rd in the Metro and a win would put them in 2nd.

This should be a good game between two strong teams.  The Canes are 8th in GAPG, 1st in shots allowed per game and 3rd in shots on goal.  All 3 of those stats are better than the Blues so that’s enough for me to take them to win this one.

Canes incl OT/SO

Ontario: 1.74 Odds at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv
Rest of Canada: 1.74 Odds at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv

Ducks vs Stars

I like the Stars here and to her any value I would have to take them -1.5 and the odds for that are only 1.86 which are a little to low for such a risk.

Canadiens vs Flames

Much like the game above, the Flames are the heavy favorites and to get any value we have to take them -1.5.

With the Flames going 2-2-1 over their last 5 they don’t give me enough confidence for that play.

Capitals vs Kraken

The Kraken are rolling at the moment.   They have won their last 6 games and are ranked 3rd in GPG.

The Capitals are on the road where they have gone 3-7-2 and 4-5-1 over their last 10.

Ovechkin scored twice in their last game and if he gets hot he can change a game.

I want to take the Kraken but like I said if Ovechkin catches fire then they Caps are a team to watch out for.

Panthers vs Canucks

The Panthers have lost 3 in a row and are on the road where they have gone 4-7-1.  The Canucks are 5-5 over last 10 and are at home where they have gone 3-5-1.

Either team has given me a reason to back them here.  On paper the Panthers should win this game but their record and results this season haven’t lived up to expectations.

Coyotes vs Kings

I like the Kings here but not enough to take them -1.5 which would have to do.

They have gone 4-3-3 over last 10, have lost 2 straight and 6-4-2 at home.

The Coyotes have gone 4-4-2 over last 10, lost their last 2 and are 6-8-2 on the road.

Have to skip this one as a Kings -1.5 isn’t a play I’m comfortable with making.

Thanks Scott, good takes here. I don’t have your faith in the Canes and I think the Tanger situation will fire up Pens at home, so I’m on them ML. I also like a parlay with Pens ML + Stars ML pays +150

For those who like the Euro leagues, I’m on Ilves reg in Liiga.

colorado -180

The best value play to me would have to be colorado. Priced at just 64 percent and a possible Georgiev vs Luukkonen matchup seems enticing. Even if it is Anderson for buffalo, who’s been solid, what they are askin the 41 year to do for them might be too much to expect. They are just 5-4 in his starts despite his above average play. If it’s Luukkonen colorado should have really good value.
Gimme 1 unit Colorado -180
and half unit Colorado in regulation -125.

I also want to take the Oilers at +140. Minnesota is priced at 62 percent roughly to win which i think is slightly too high. My hesitation is with Campbell expected to start and he’s been extremely bad. Maybe only Demko has had a worse season for Vancouver so far. Fleury has had a slightly below average season. Up and down. So maybe they could cancel out. But he’s still fared much better than Campbell so I haven’t pulled the trigger on this.

I feel like the most over priced team on the day would have to go to Calgary. Over 75 percent to win is what they are priced at and I give Montreal a better than 25 percent chance to win this game. I give Devils, Tampa Bay and Colorado all better chances than the Flames to get wins so having them priced at —305 feels way too high. Prolly won’t take Montreal either but Calgary would be a stay away based on value alone.

Hi lads! Long time follower (from Australia), first time poster. Appreciate all you do and hope you guys are going well 🙂 Keep up the great work.

Graeme

Thanks brother and congrats on making it to the next round of the World Cup! Please batter Argentina I’m bloody tired of Messi.

GreenieD

HAHAHA! Thanks Graeme, honour to finally contribute to your site. 🙂 Historical times here in the land of Oz and what a Sunday morning it’s going to be. Seen some crazy results in the WC, but have everything crossed for an upset. Argentina are vulnerable in my opinion, but like a good race horse, when they are on the straight in a big race, it’s always going to be hard to run past them even if they haven’t looked the best…Especially when your team only has 3 legs in comparison 😉

Anyway, love the 2 tips tonight, lets get after it! Thanks again and speak tomorrow!

Little time to research today, but these are strong leans:
Reverse Puckline of +1.5: Philly
Full game OVER 6.0: Canucks/Panthers
To WIN moneyline: New Jersey, Seattle

You missed the Devils game? Surely you’d wanna bet on them in regulation?

Devils in regulation
Tampa in regulation
Avs in regulation
Canes in regulation
Kraken in regulation

There. 5 simple games for me.

Ffs Vanecek.. It was looking so good, I had so many bets looking to go in here, if he didnt dive for the puck I’d be watching Kraken biting my nails cus I’d win thousands. That’s if the rest keep their leads all the way.
Now I lost all the early bets cus of that. That hurts!

Graeme

Hi mate – Scott had mentioned the Devils game above not sure if you missed it? Decision was we like the Devils obviously, but had to take them in regulation and with their recent couple of games decided against it.

Frustrating you lost that Devils one. The way it went down it was a killer.
