Well unfortunately it was a very disappointing and frustrating performance from the Panthers yesterday that cost us the win.
We had Panthers -1.5. I had spent a lot of time analyzing that one with Driedger in net and felt that I liked that play instead of the over in that one. It ended up being a 5-4 victory for the Panthers who just played bizarre. I thought they were going to come out strong but it seemed anything but. They had a great second period after going 3-1 down but then could barely register 5 shots on net in the third period.
Disappointing one from the Panthers.
Good performance from the Leafs last night although they came up short against the Rangers. Glad I didn’t take the Coyotes yesterday was I was debating as the Knights got a big 4-1 win over them.
And how about those Sharks? Wow. I said yesterday the Flyers seemed pumped about this road trip – they seemed really focused on it and their road performances and “setting it right”. What an awful start for them. Now they have to head to Anaheim.
It’s Sunday, December 29th and we’ve got another busy day ahead of us then a very quiet day tomorrow with just the 1 game. Some frustrating scheduling at the moment with a lot of stacked days.
It kicks off quite early today with the Jets at Blues at 3pm EST. Then we’ve got some 5pm and 6pm games. With that, the Old Firm match (brilliant result!!!), EPL action plus NFL and NBA – another great and stacked day for sports fans.
Man I want to back the Ducks today. So very close to it. But I think I’ll go with one of the teams that have been nice to us all season long betting wise.
Bruins vs Sabres Betting Tips:
I was iffy on backing the Bruins when they played Buffalo on the 27th. They looked decent enough in that game and it was a stellar performance from Bergeron. Buffalo did look the better team in the final period and Halak had to step up. I made sure to watch that one closely. It didn’t give me super confidence in Boston but it did give me enough. Buffalo also didn’t look great.
Bruins at home are solid with a 13-1-8 record here. Buffalo will be without Jeff Skinner which hurts for them.
Good spot for Boston to keep building up the wins again. One of those picks where there’s really not too much to write about – it’s a case of one strong favourite and determining whether or not there is enough value in the play and I believe there is. Third D line is pretty weak for the Bruins but that’s about it.
