Wow!! What a night of hockey that was.
The Lightning beat the Canadiens 5-4 in overtime. Corey Perry tied it with 20 seconds left and the goalie pulled to force overtime. Point had 2 goals and an assist in his return from an injury.
The Knights vs Kings game was another good one. These teams traded 4 goals in 1:16 and the Knights won 6-3. This was the Knights 6th straight road win.
The final game of the night was the Coyotes vs Sharks and this was the game of the night. The Sharks won 8-7 in a shootout. Ladd tied it for the Coyotes with 1:30 left to force extra time. Just a crazy game between 2 teams who haven’t had great seasons.
The World Juniors also are going on. The U.S team were forced to forfeit their game against Switzerland due to Covid issues. Canada played Austria and won 11-2. Connor Bedard scored 4 goals for Canada. He tied a Canadian record for goals in a game and he joined Gretzky as the only other 16 year old to score at least a hat trick.
For today we have 6 games and 5 have been postponed.
Rangers vs Panthers Betting Tips:
The Rangers have 4 players on the protocol list, the Panthers have at least 2.
This should be a good game between two of the top 10 teams in the East.
The Rangers have been a better road team than they are when at home going 11-4-2 when away. The Panthers come into this game having lost their last 3 in a row.
The Panthers are a good home team going 14-3-0 in Florida. With the Christmas break just wrapping up I wonder if that will continue.
With the Panthers losing 3 in a row I would say this is a great chance for the Rangers. But they have been hit harder by Covid so it’s tough to call. I’m skipping this one.
Devils vs Sabres Betting Tips:
The Devils have lost their last 6 road games and now get a chance to snap that against a weak Sabres team.
The Sabres have 16 players out with 5 of them on the Covid protocol list.
A game where I would like to think the Sabres can extend the Devils road woes but with all of their injuries I can’t back them.
Predators vs Capitals Betting Tips:
The Predators are playing great right now. They have won their last 7 games and take on a Capitals team who has 6 players on the protocol list and two others out with injuries.
The thing that has me worried about this game is the Preds are without Josi and Duchene who are both producing about a point per game each. But the Capitals are without a pike of players including Oshie, Wilson and others.
Another game that I have to skip.
Oilers vs Blues Betting Tips:
The Oilers have 7 players out with Covid and 7 others with injuries. The Blues have 11 players out 3 of them are out with Covid.
The Blues are at home here and they have been strong this season when there going 11-3-2. The Oilers have won their last 2 games but are 4-6 over their last 10.
With the Blues at home and playing their final game of 2021 here I expect them to come out ready. It’s tough to bet against the Oilers but I see enough to make it a play for tonights game.

Flyers vs Kraken Betting Tips:
The Kraken have lost their last 4 home games and will be looking to snap that here. The Flyers are a team that has played as well on the road as they have at home going 6-6-2 at home, 6-6-3 on the road.
Tough to call this game. The Flyers have 3 guys on the protocol list, the Kraken 4. The Kraken are actually the favorites for this one.
Canucks vs Ducks Betting Tips:
The Canucks have 5 players on the protocol list and 5 others out with injuries. The Ducks have 3 on the list and 3 others out.
The Canucks have been on fire going 8-2 over their last 10 games and have won 6 straight.
I really wanted to take the Canucks here especially with the Ducks having Zegras out. But Vancouver has plenty of injuries themselves so it’s tough to call.
2-0 last night easily hitting over 6 Bolts-Habs and Bolts-Knights parlay. Bolts made me sweat but Knights cruised to the win.
Tonight, Devils ML over Sabres who are putting out an AHL team. Devils getting back some key pieces including Nico Hischier, Ryan Graves, P.K. Subban, Jesper Boqvist, and Christian Jaros.
Also, like Cats over Blueshirts in regulation. They’ve got an almost full NHL roster with their best player Sasha Barkov returning to action. They are also getting back Marchment and Huberdeau.
