The Penguins beat the Islanders 3-2 and Sidney Crosby broke Mario Lemieux’s Pittsburgh franchise career record for assists with his 1,034th.
The Wings beat the Caps 4-2 and Kane became the 2nd US born player to hit 1,300 points. Ovechkin scored for the 2nd time in his 2nd game back after injury and is now only 25 behind Gretzky. After a 13-game losing streak, the Sabres beat the Blues 4-2 and have now won 3 in a row.
The Knights beat the Flames 3-0 for their 3rd straight win, Evans scored for the 5th game in a row when the Habs beat the Lightning 5-2 and the Kings scored 3 goals in a row to comeback and beat the Flyers 5-4.
Only 3 games today.
Rangers vs Panthers
The Rangers continue to struggle. They’re 2-8 in last 10 and on 3 game losing skid. On the road they have gone 9-9-0. They are in last place in the Metro.
The Panthers are tied with the Leafs for 1st place in the Atlantic. They are 6-4-0 in last 10 but have lost their last 2 games.
The Panthers are better in CF, much better in CA, SF/60, SA/60 and GF and GA.
Although they are on a 2 game losing skid, the Panthers have everything in their favor here and with the way the Rangers are playing it’s easy to count them out.

Predators vs Jets
I still haven’t found a reason to back the Predators. They have been playing a bit better since they ended that losing skid but I still will avoid them until they give me a reason not to.
The Jets are on a 3 game win streak and have gone 7-2-1 in last 10. At home they have been amazing going 13-3-1 in Winnipeg.
These teams played on November 23rd and the Preds won that one 4-1 with Josi scoring twice.
The Preds have better numbers in Corsi and Fenwick, the Jets have better numbers in GF and GA. The expected goals numbers are pretty much the same so I wanted to take Jets but the data scared me off.
Utah vs Kraken
Utah is on a 3 game skid but still have a decent record over last 10 going 6-2-2. They have also been good on the road going 11-6-2.
Kraken are 3-6-1 in last 10 and have gone 8-8-2 at home. They are in 6th in the Pacific and have long way to go to gain ground on the division leaders.
The odds for this game have Utah as the favorite but with them on a 3 game losing skid I find it difficult to back them here.
