Although we had no tips last night, from a betting perspective it felt good.
All 5 games had the over/under line at 5 and we were immediately looking at them for the over. However after going through each game we just couldn’t see one that we liked to go over 5. We made the right call there with 2 of the games going under 5 and 2 pushes.
I also made some nice money last night betting on the exactly 5 goal line in the Hurricanes/Hawks game. That was a solid win for the Hurricanes.
We move onto today with the BIG GAME – the Blue Jackets vs the Wild. The 5th line vs Dubnyk! We ain’t tipping that one – I flip flopped on that one a lot today. Initially I wanted to go with the Jackets as I think their coaching and strategies have been exceptional this year. But when I look at everything I’d maybe lean towards the Wild being the better team – certainly at home compared to Jackets on the road. Either way will be an interesting game.
We wanted to go with Over 5 in the Bruins/Sabres game but we had the same thoughts as yesterday – just hard to pull the trigger on it.
Here’s what we have today and have to be quick with write-ups due to early games. Hope everyone has a good betting day so they can buy the good bubbly to bring in the New Year.
Capitals vs Devils Betting Tips:
Kinkaid in net again for the Devils. I just don’t see him having a performance like he did the other night. Washington I always complain about their motivation – well they’ve got to be motivated for this one. Some disappointing results for the Caps lately but we like them to end the year on a bang – they’re still the better team. 2.00 odds at Pinnacle.

Islanders vs Jets Betting Tips:
We’re taking Over 5.5 in this one. The Islanders offense on the road isn’t great but they’ve been rolling lately in their road games. Greiss is pretty solid but Halak going on waivers – you have to wonder how that will affect the Islanders camp. To be honest there’s part of me that thinks Greiss might have a great night but this just looks like a game that will go over. 2.05 odds.
Oilers vs Canucks Betting Tips:
Oilers have that invincible look about them coming out of the Christmas break. They may be a team who the break is good for and they’re full of energy. Their home performances have been a bit disappointing this season – especially on offense – but the Canucks road record is extremely poor and this is one the Oilers should be able to take. 1.71 odds at 888.

I think Montreal will win tonight with Murray out and a few injuries for the pens, Habs have a lot of players back from injury too and with Price in net, I can see them winning for sure.
Worst luck I’ve ever had, habs going to win with 30 seconds left and pens score and win in OT.
This is the worst? Damn, now I feel really unlucky, man.
