13 games yesterday. We had 2 tips and both came through for us.
Had the Rangers to beat the Preds and they did but it was close. The Preds were up 2-0 after the 1st and was cursing for tipping a game with them involved. But thankfully the Rangers came alive in the 2nd and added another in the 3rd for the win.
Also had the Hurricanes to win in regulation against the Sabres and they did 6-2. The Canes scored the first 5 goals unanswered and Aho scored twice
The Stars chased Vasilevskiy from the net when they pounded the Lightning 8-1. The Bruins beat the Leafs 4-3 in overtime and Matthews scored twice in the loss. Larkin returned and the Wings won 5-4 against the Habs in overtime and after what Larkin and his family went through I’m glad he had something to be happy about.
The Sens shutout the Kraken 2-0 to snap their skid at 3, the Flyers beat the Pens 4-3 in a shootout and the Ducks snapped their 8 game losing skid when they beat the Avs 4-3 in a shootout.
For tonight we have 5 games. Most of the odds are lopsided which makes finding tips tricky.
Blackhawks vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Hawks played the Jets yesterday and lost 3-1 with Bedard scoring his 11th in the loss. The Hawks are tied for the lowest points in the league. They are 30th in goals, shots and goals allowed
The Wild are 3-5-2 over last 10. They have won the two games since Hynes came in as head coach. They are 19th in goals, 29th in goals allowed and 4-4-2 in Minnesota. They have been playing better since snapping that 7 game losing skid so I’m sure if they can keep that up those numbers will improve.
I love the Hawks but have no faith in them this season and that’s OK. The Wild have won their last 2 games but still have that 7 game skid before that that has me worried about tipping them.
Sharks vs Rangers Betting Tips:
The Sharks won their last game which was the first road win of the season for them. Their numbers aren’t good ranking 32nd in goals, shots on goal, shooting percentage, goals allowed and shots on goal allowed.
The Rangers played the Predators yesterday and won 4-3. They are 12th in goals and 3rd for goals allowed. At home they have gone 7-2 and are 8-2 over last 10 games.
The odds for this are terrible. We would have to take the Rangers -2.5 and with them playing last night in Nashville and now playing in New York the next day I have to pass.
Predators vs Sabres Betting Tips:
Both teams played yesterday.
The Preds played the Rangers and lost a close one 4-3
The Sabres played the Hurricanes and lost 6-2.
With both playing yesterday and losing I’m skipping.
Jackets vs Bruins Betting Tips:
The Jackets have gone 2-6-3 on the road and in 8th in the Metro. They are 24th in GPG, 18th in shots, 22nd in GAPG and 29th in SOGA. With Laine starting to get his game going it will help the team.
The Bruins played the Leafs yesterday and won 4-3 in overtime. They have won the last 2 games and are in 1st in the Atlantic and tied with the Rangers for 1st overall in the league.
As you can imagine, the odds favor the Bruins big time. We would have to take them -1.5 and with then playing last night in Toronto I have to skip this game.
Avalanche vs Kings Betting Tips:
The Avalanche played the Ducks yesterday and lost. They are still in California for this game.
The Kings have gone 7-2-1 over last 10 and are in 3rd in the Pacific. They are ranked 1st in GPG and GAPG and 2nd in SOGA. At home the Kings have gone 4-4-3. It’s strange that they haven’t had near the success they have had on the road where they have gone a perfect 9-0 so far.
The Avs will be looking to end their 2 game losing skid are playing well recently going 7-1-2 over last 10 and have a decent road record of 7-4-2 too.
The Kings have better stats and have been off since Wednesday but the home record has me worried about taking them here and the Avs played yesterday so I have to skip.
Full game UNDER 7.0: Avs/Kings
Nothing else for me today. The back-to-backs and matchups don’t show me anything clearly. Obvious lean for the Rangers to win, but San Jose will beat any team who doesn’t show up. The Rangers have a nice schedule right now, so they should maybe, at home (cough cough) win this. Looks like a trap: San Jose inspired to play a top team, stung too many times this season, and a top team bored out of their minds.
AHL: good betting odds on games, but has anyone found that the AHL has any way to bet on it with good results? Seems it’s complete chaos game to game. Understandably, it’s young kids, not pros, open to much distraction, game attendance is not inspiring, their rosters are often disrupted by NHL callups, and there’s almost no way to find out about situational information that can affect motivation, health, periodic/minor injuries, line changes, etc. which the pro leagues produce in many ways. So far this season, when looking at as much stats, streaks and situational info I can get, the results are still chaotic, and too many bets lost.
