4 games yesterday.
The Bruins beat the Hawks for their 3rd straight win with Marchand scoring twice. The Leafs beat the Predators 3-2 with Matthews scoring twice.
The Knights beat the Ducks 4-1 with Theodore scoring twice and the Ducks lost Zegras to injury in the game. The final game of the night saw the Kings rally and score 3 straight and beat the Stars 3-2.
We have 9 games scheduled for today.
Panthers vs Flyers
Panthers lost their last game which snapped their won streak at 3 games. The Flyers are on a 3 game win streak and are 7-2-1 in last 10.
These teams played once this season and the Panthers won 4-3 in a shootout.
Usually I’d be all over the Panthers to win here but the Flyers have shown some life.
Wings vs Senators
Both teams on losing skids.
The Wings are 3-4-3 in last 10 and have lost 3 in a row. On the road they are 5-5-2.
The Sens are 3-5-2 in last 10 and on a 2 game losing skid. At home they have gone 6-5-1.
Tough to predict a winner when both teams aren’t playing that well. The Sens rank 4th in shots per game and the Wings rank 31st. So I would lean towards the Sens winning but it’s not one I’m would make a tip especially since it would need to be in regulation.
Jets vs Sabres
Wow have the Jets hit a speedbump. They went from setting records to start the season to now riding a 4 game losing skid and are 3-7-0 in last 10.
The Sabres are also on a 4 game losing skid.
Looking at some stats and the Jets are ranked 4th in GPG and GAPG and have the 2nd ranked power play. Great numbers for sure but you have to think how high they would be ranking had they not had a crazy start to the season.
Both on 4 game losing skids so no tip.
Predators vs Canadiens
Predators played yesterday and lost to the Leafs. They are 2-4-4 in last 10 and on a 5 game losing skid. They are on the road where they haven’t been good going 2-7-4.
The Habs haven’t had a good season so far. Getting Laine into a game and having him score is huge for the team but they are going to need more than one of him to fix this season.
This is another case where due to both teams struggles I can’t back either and will just pass on this game.
Avalanche vs Hurricanes
Should be a good game here. Both teams are trying to climb the standings and get back to where they are expected to be.
The Avalanche are 6-4-0 in last 10 and 7-5 on the road. The Canes are 5-4-1 in last 10 and 9-3-0 at home.
The played once this season with the Canes winning that one 6-4.
The Canes have better CF, GF and GA. Shots for and against are about the same as are XGF and XGA.
I would like to take the Canes here as the are at home and have a slight advantage in the stats. But would have to take them in regulation which has me worried with the way the Avalanche can play.
Sharks vs Lightning
The Sharks are on a rare 3 game win streak but are on the road where they have gone 4-7-4. They are 5-3-2 in last 10.
The Lightning are also 5-3-2 in last 10 and 7-4-1 at home.
With the Sharks riding the momentum of a win streak they may make this a closer game. One thing to keep an eye on is the health of the Lightning. Guentzel and Kucherov are both listed as day to day and any time a team is missing two of their top line players it’s going to hurt them.
With the status of the Lightnings players and the Sharks on a win steak I’m skipping this game.
Kraken vs Islanders
Nothing here.
Jackets vs Oilers
Both teams lost their last game and are 6-3-1 in last 10.
On the road the Jackets are 3-7-2 and at home the Oilers are 5-6-1.
Jackets are scoring decently ranking 8th in GPG and 3rd in shots. They are allowing 3.50 per game and the Oilers aren’t much better allowing almost 3 a game.
With the Jackets scoring and the Oilers having the players and ability to score this could be high scoring. Looking at their recent results and both teams have had high scoring games of late so I’m going with that.

Blues vs Flames
The Blues are 5-3-2 in last 10 and 7-6-1 on the road. The Flames are 5-4-1 last 10 and have been strong strong home going 10-3-0
The Flames have the advantage in Corsi and Fenwick. The Blues are better in GF and GA. The expected goals numbers are close which doesn’t help at all.
Would lean towards the Flames to pick up the win here but these teams have similar records over their last 10 games so it’s find it safer to skip.
Tampa Bay Point to score +120
Surprised I’m getting this price on him to be honest. If he doesn’t come through so be it.
Winnipeg Vilardi to score +210
Not as confident but like the value.
