A perfect 3-0 night yesterday which was nice.
We had the Hurricanes to beat the Ottawa Senators. Scott hates picking the Hurricanes and I am sure he was absolutely furious watching the first two periods of that game. Thankfully the Hurricanes turned it on in the 3rd period and came out 4-1 winners.
We had the Flames vs Lightning game to go over and that it did. We had over 6.5 goals and there wasn’t many saves made in a 9 goal thriller.
Finally we had Leafs to beat the Avs and the Leafs did that with a 5-2 victory.
It was a fun night of hockey with a lot of good games.
Wednesday, February 13th brings us only two games however and I’m not backing anything in them.
Penguins vs Oilers: I do think Penguins are going to make a solid run around this time of the season. We saw a lot of fight in them against Tampa and they got a good result against Philly. They’re missing Maata and Malkin tonight however and they let up a lot of shots against Philly. Oilers are coming in off the back of some solid road form and I think could pull off a surprise.
Canucks vs Ducks: The Ducks losing streak is at that point where you’re wary of backing against them knowing they’re going to have to dig deep to get it done. Canucks have been ringing in the changes lately too and I’m a bit concerned about their goalie situation.
