It was a nice and easy 1-0 last night with the NHL Tips.
We took the Leafs/Jackets over and that one went over with ease with 7 goals in the first two periods. The Jackets were a feisty bunch but the rested Leafs wrapped the game up in the final period.
The Habs lost 2-0 and Varlamov earned a shutout with a solid performance. The Panthers had a big 1st period and the Canucks couldn’t claw back.
Fun little night of hockey.
It’s Thursday, February 15th 2018 and we’ve got 11 games on the board tonight.
Senators vs Sabres Betting Tips:
I was really pushing for the Sabres/Lightning over the other day. We didn’t end up taking it but it went as I expected. The Sabres are in that cushy zone right now where they realize the playoffs aren’t happening, and they’re just out there scoring goals for fun and playing with a relaxed confidence.
It won’t last but I’m hoping it does tonight as it looks like the Sens are feeling the same way. They just lost Phaneuf and that might bring them down but it might motivate them too.
Historically these games aren’t barn burners but we’re banking on this one to be with the way both teams are playing.

Red Wings vs Lightning Betting Tips:
Tampa have won the last 10 meetings against the Red Wings and we’re going to back it to be 11.
Tampa obviously the better team here and we’re getting a decent price due to the Red Wings latest performances.
Tampa lost 2 on the trot and that’s gotta motivate them. They’re at home where they haven’t made too many mistakes lately.
We like Tampa to bounce back from those two losses with a W tonight.

Unit/Confidence Betting Tips:
Both games above: 1u.
Oilers to beat the Knights: 0.5u. Oilers win in Vegas last time was a special one – McDavids birthday and there was a million Oilers fans there. It won’t be the same again. Despite that the odds are too good here. We’re seeing some cracks in the Knights at the moment and the Oilers match up well with them and McDavid has been randomly showing up. Easily worth a play considering the Oilers record against the Knights this season. 2.80 at 888 Sports.
Coyotes to beat the Habs: 0.5u: Decent enough price considering the form of both teams. 1.88 at 888 Sports.
(We are experimenting with adding unit/confidence to our betting tips. For more details see this post.)

Sharpest bet on tonight’s board is Pens regulation at -110. After getting a nice W vs the Cats to kick off their road trip the Kings have been horrendous and leaking goals like crazy. Pens are one of the hottest teams in the league right now and are 7-3 in last 10. They are a scoring machine and will walk off with a W in 60 minutes against a Kings team that is unsettled after a big trade that saw Garorik go and Phaneuf arrive. Hard to gauge how a trade like that affects a locker room but it’s not going to send the Kings to the Stanley Cup and they know it.
Over in Sens/Sabres and Yotes/Habs.
GLTA SDB

Yo SDB. Hope all is well.
The incoming of Phaneuf reminds me a little of Iginla last year.
Big name, won’t get them anywhere quickly (regards to standings), doesn’t help much.. or am I reading it incorrectly?
Alas. On to the bets.
I personally called 2/3 last night and didn’t place. I won’t again tonight either. Realisation is, I can’t afford to lose more units right now.

sharp calls tonight!
I make that 3-1 in suggestions tonight, with Nashville letting me down.
If I had placed 1u on each individually, it would have earned nicely.
Common theme the last 3 evenings. When I place, I lose. When I don’t, I would’ve won.
Pitts was ballzy call. ?
I looked it over, a lot was in fav for them to win but I got scared off with Kings playing well in Pitts and getting blown out last game in Caro
Inside scoop: why Vegas may see a lot of Oilers fans at Vegas home games; a huge supply of $$$ from the Alberta oilsands workers finds its way regularly to Vegas casinos and extra curricular debaucharies.
No more NHL picks before Over/Unders in the playoffs. I’m on other sports.

Hi Guys,
A pretty good night last night going 6-1 with nba and nhl. Oddly gs being the losing play…
NHL-
POTD – Pens Reg (70%)- If you know my history with the pens you’ll know I some how lose every time I pick them, and they win when they don’t. That being said I don’t believe in superstitious crap. Pens have won their last 9 at home, and Kings got drilled by the Canes. Pens managed a 3-1 win on kings turf just last month, and I won’t step in front of them now. They’re the best they’ve been all season. Kings right now are just so poor.
Sabres Reg (55%) – Call me crazy, but the Sabres are playing the best they have all season and managed to beat the Bolts last game out. The Sabres have won the last 4 meetings in Ottawa and all in reg. Considering Sabres are 4-0 in their last 4 on the road, I like their chances here against Ottawa. If the game goes to overtime Ottawa have a strong chance of winning it I think, given Sabres OT record and that Sens are 4-1 in OT. All things then being taken into consideration, if Sabres win this game they win it in reg (as they’ve done the last 4 times in Ottawa). Sabres right now are a better team than the Sens so I’ll happily take the 2/1 or +200 Reg odds for a Sabres team who has the potential to win this. I won’t play this large, but I will play it.
Ducks ML (65%) – No team is as bad as the Hawks right now, with the Coyotes pummeling them 6-1 I can’t pass up on this. The Hawks were an avoid team for me for a while due to them putting up some big games. There haven’t been any big games in a while, but plenty of bad losses. They’re a fade team now.
Bolts Reg (85%) – S&G said all that needs to be said. Bolts have rocked the Wings, and will be looking for a bounce back after an embarrassing loss to the Sabres.
Coyotes ML/PL (55%/40%) – This is a ballsy bet so take it at your own risk. Simply put, the Coyotes in my opinion are the better team here. The Habs have lost their last 4 games on the road and all by more than 1 goal. On the other end the Coyotes smashed the Hawks, and has kept up to some of the giants in the NHL such as the Preds at home. Coyotes are riding high off their high octane win against the Hawks, whilst Habs will probably be going through the motions against a team a lot of teams don’t take seriously and suffer for it. I see a strong chance of a Yotes win (they beat the Habs once already on the road this season) and perhaps even a a puckline win. Play at your own risk.
NBA-
Bucks -3 – The Nuggets are a fade team on the road, going 1-7 in their last 8 on the road. Bucks on the other hand have won their last 5 at home. The All star break is coming up, and I don’t see the bucks wanting to drop their last game at home before the break. -3 is a low number, and considering the nuggets struggles on the road I think Bucks should cover this fine.
Wolves -9.5 – I hate high spreads, and will usually back the other team on them. That being said wolves have lost just 4 times in their last 20 at home. The Lakers illustrated wow they’re no force on the road with a hammering by the Pelicans last night, and I expect more of the same tonight. The Lakers aren’t rested, and the Wolves will be eager to bounce back from a rare home loss going into the break. Wolves beat the Lakers by 18 points last month at home, and thus I’m prepared to take them for an average amount on this spread.
GL!
10/11 – ballsy
