A good night last night as we went 2-0 with the tips.
We had the Flames to win in regulation against the Ducks and they did winning 6-2. The win helped extend the Flames lead in the Pacific Divsion.
Our other tip was the Avalanche to win against the Knights and they did 2-0. Eichel made his debut for the Knights playing 17 minutes.
The Panthers vs Canes game was a good one as we expected with the Panthers winning 3-2 in overtime.
The Jets are like the start of a Seinfeld joke. “Whats the deal with the Jets?”. They came and beat the Wild 6-3. Scheifele had a game scoring a natural hat trick and adding an assist, Wheeler had 4 assists. The Jets won the season series against the Wild 2-1-1.
A busy night with 10 games scheduled for us.
Blues vs Canadiens Betting Tips:
The Blues are rolling right now. They have gone 2-1 over last 3 games and have scored 14 times during this stretch. The Habs have lost 10 in a row.
The Blues are obviously the favorites here and the only way to get any value is to take them -1.5. If the Habs show up and pick up their first win under new coach St. Louis then so be it.
The Blues last 6 wins have been by 2 or more so I don’t see the Habs being a team that would stop them from doing that.
Blues -1.5

Sens vs Sabres Betting Tips:
This is a game that’s too close to call.
The Sens are 4-5-1 over last 10 and are 8-11-3 on the road. The Sabres have won 2 straight, are 5-4-1 over last 10 and are 8-12-4 at home.
I have no idea who wins this game.
Penguins vs Leafs Betting Tips:
Should be a good game here.
The Pens are on a 4 game win streak and are 17-5-3 on the road. The Leafs won their last game and have gone 7-3-0 over last 10.
They have played twice this season with the Pens winning both.
This is tough to call as both teams are having great seasons. The Pens have 70 points in 50 games, the Leafs have 65 in 46 games.
Looking at the over seems appealing. The Pens are ranked 9th in GPG with 3.34 and the Leafs are 4th with 3.59. But the GAPG has the Pens ranked 3rd allowing only 2.54 and the Leafs 6th allowing 2.70.
With so much star power between these teams I hate having to skip it but I can’t call a winner and the over seems like a trap.
Capitals vs Flyers Betting Tips:
The Capitals have been inconsistent lately going 7-9-2 since January 1st. The Flyers are on yet another losing streak this time it’s at 3 games.
The Flyers have 10 players out so their bench is still going to be thin. They last played on November 6th and the Flyers won 2-1.
The Caps last 5 wins have needed overtime twice which makes me a little nervous about taking them in regulation here.
But with the way the Flyers have been playing I have no confidence in them at all. The Caps need to win games like this against weaker teams as they currently sit in 4th in the Metro 3 points back of the 3rd place Rangers.

Wings vs Rangers Betting Tips:
The Rangers have won their last 3 games. The Wings lost their last and have gone 4-5-1 over last 10.
2 of the Rangers last 6 wins needed extra time, 2 of the last 7 Wings games needed extra time too.
I like the Rangers to win this game but how they do it is the question. With the Rangers at home where they have gone 16-4-2 and the Wings road record of 7-13-3 I’ll take the Rangers in regulation.

Bruins vs Islanders Betting Tips:
Tough game here.
The Bruins should be getting Bergeron back which will help them big time. They have gone 4-4-2 over last 10 despite being with out two of their best players.
The Isles have had a rough season. They are riding a 3 game losing skid into this one and have gone 3-7-0 over last 10. They are at home where they haven’t been any better going 9-10-3.
One stat that has me worried is the Bruins are 0-4 in last 4 games after allowing 2 or less in the previous game. Their last game played they lost 2-1 in shootout to the Rangers.
Kraken vs Jets Betting Tips:
Add the Jets to the list of teams I’m not touching for a while.
They just beat the Wild last night so it would only be fitting for them to come in against a weak Kraken team and shit the bed. Easy skip for me.
Jackets vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
The Jackets have a good shot at a win here. The Hawks have lost their last 4 games in Chicago and they have Arvid Soderblom starting for them. He has played in 2 games this season and has a 4.24 GAA and a .881 save percentage.
The Hawks are usually a strong home team but that’s not the case this season as they have gone 8-11-3.
The Jackets had their win streak snapped in their last game when they allowed a short handed goal and scored on themselves when the Flames won 6-2. It’s those kind of losses that can really ruin a teams mojo.
Have to skip this game as I have no confidence in either team.
Ducks vs Oilers Betting Tips:
The Ducks have dropped their last 3 games and the Oilers have won their last 3.
This could be a great game as both teams have 55 points and are tied for 3rd in the Pacific with the Kings.
The Oilers seem to have turned a corner after having such a rough go for most of the season.
The Ducks have turned themselves around in a bad way after playing well for most of the season and are now 4-4-2 over last 10.
With this being such a crucial game it should be a good one. Sure the Oilers are the favorites here but even a regulation win is just barely over our minimum Odds so I have to skip it.
Canucks vs Sharks Betting Tips:
Another game where I have no idea who wins.
The Canucks are in 6th place in the Pacific with a 22-21-6 record, the Sharks are in 7th with a 22-21-4 record.
The Sharks have lost their last 4 games but are at home where they have gone 11-10-2. The Canucks won their last game and are on the road where they have gone 12-12-3.
The Sharks need to have a better effort than they did in their last game when they were outshot by the Oilers 41-20 and had only 16 hits. They should be better but they still have a long way to go to get back into the playoff picture.
Skipping this game.
Can’t see any bets worthwhile today. Not touching Oilers games yet for a while. It wouldn’t surprise me if half or more of the games went to overtime today, but the stats and trends just don’t convince me today’s the day to jump for such bets.
Leans: Rangers to Win on the puckline. Seattle to win moneyline.
Thanks Scott, nicely done last night.
Here’s what I’m on tonight:
Blues PL – It’s possible that the Habs can dig deep to retain some pride, but with Toffoli trade and hiring of MSL it’s clear they’re ready to put the season behind them. With the traffic jam in the Western Conf standings the Blues need to keep the pedal to metal and shouldn’t overlook the Habs. With Samuel Montembeault in net for the Habs it’s probably going to be a long night.
Rangers reg – Scott put it nicely, nothing to add.
Capitals reg – ditto. With Giroux all but gone and the bench decimated by injuries, the Flyers have all the excuses in the world to mail it in. Who can blame them? Meanwhile the Caps are one of the best road teams in the league and coming off a gutsy win vs the Preds (I fucking hate them). 8-2-2 in their last dozen road games, and their 15-5-4 road record for the season is second best in the NHL from a points pct. (.708) standpoint. With 3.38 goals per game on the road, the Capitals rank fifth in the League, and their rate of 2.46 goals against per game is third-best in the circuit.
Jets reg – This is as simple as it gets. The Jets need to win and win now. The games are starting to run out and they need points. After last night’s huge win over the Wild, the Jets are 5 points out of the last wild card and final spot in the playoffs. The fans are back in the Canada Life Centre and it is one of the toughest buildings in the league to play in even for good teams. And the Kraken are not a good team.
Parlay – NYR/Blues/Jets ML
It’s sad but not unexpected that North America got bounced from the Olympic tournament. Piss poor management of both teams in my opinion. However, it does give the European teams a chance to shine. Each team left features the best of their pros not in the NHL so it should be pretty good hockey. I’ve got ROC to run the board, but Finland and Sweden will put up a good fight. I have ROC and Finland ML in a parlay +120.
