A good night of action last night.
McDavid scored his 3rd hat trick of the season, and 4th of his career, and the Oilers beat the Avalanche 4-2. The Flyers offense went off and won against the Rangers 7-4. The Jets won their 3rd in row when they beat the Panthers 7-2.
The Devils beat the Hurricanes 3-2 in OT. Taylor Hall scored the winner and with that he extended his point streak to 18 games.
We have 6 games scheduled for today with some starting early and the start times are spread out nicely for a day full of hockey. It’s Family Day so I’ll keep these short to get them out early enough for people to discuss the games before they start.
Wild vs Islanders Betting Tips:
Both teams are fighting for the playoffs. Both are in the 2nd and final wildcard spot for their respective conferences.
Having a look at the head to head matchups between these teams and their seems to be a trend of goals. The last three games have had totals of; 10, 10 and 9. Over the last 10 meetings of these teams there has been an average of 7 goals per game.
With both teams trying to move up in the standings and both having the ability to bury the biscuit, I like this to go over.

I wouldn’t bet Sens. Preds will be wanting a bounce back. Knights I would think is worth a shot, Ducks aren’t in the same league as them play wise.

Mate, I changed two of my tips because one I posted on the day before post. The second one was because I made a simple mistake. I didn’t edit all of them, because I’m not trying to fool anyone. I make lossing bets just like anyone else. You, however, are just a troll who adds nothing here then talks shit. I don’t suffer fools like you.

I reckon both are solid bets. The chalk is heavy, but both sides are in bounce back spots. Caps will be aware of their loss to the Sabres last time out and that the Pens are now top of the Met. Bruins, well, this isn’t a side who usually play as badly as they did against the Canucks. If that doesn’t wake them up, along with the potential to go top of the Atlantic, then I don’t know what will. Calgary can’t buy a win at home, and I think Smith is out again so Bruins looks good.

Boston need to bounce back and quickly too. They can’t afford to let another result slide by.
Calgary are just one of those teams that you never know whether they’ll a) turn up and skate or b) turn up and twiddle their thumbs.
I was half tempted to play the Bruins Reg + over 5.5 @ 4.20….what’s your thoughts?
And yeah, my other wager would be on Caps reg. They’re a superior team and i believe Eichel is still unavailable for Buffalo?? (Correct me if I’m wrong though..)
Over 5.5 is not a bad play considering the Bruins can put up a lot of goals. Their defense has also not been as tight lately. No Eichel for Sabres , and after that game versus the Kings I’ve got to fade them. They looked lost.

Wild ML (60%)- This bet is based on two factors, how bad the Isles are and that the Wild will be looking for a bounce back after dropping their game to the Ducks. Wild haven’t lost 3 in a row in their last 20, and although the Isles have recorded back to back shutouts, this team is far from good. Beating an ailing canes and rangers means nothing to me. Wild bounce back against a leaky isles .
Caps Reg (70%) – The Sabres fell back down to earth against a motivated kings side. Caps know they lost here last time out and after being humbled by the hawks will want a bounce back here. Caps win to regain lead of the Met.
Bruins Reg (65%) – After getting hammered by the Canucks, the Bruins like the Caps will want to close the gap on the top of the Atlantic and rebound off an embarrassing loss. Calgary can’t buy a win at home, and Bruins rebound. Bruins are not a two in a row losing team right now.
I wasn’t sure about the Wild today but you convinced me!! I took them in a parlay for the early games, ?

Wasn’t aware there was an early start today, so I’ll give Wild/NYI a miss. I might stream it an gauge how well each team is playing, and select a “First goal” wager or something.

Taking a break from work, and thought I’d update that tail, fade and avoid list.
Teams to tail –
Jets (at home) , Bruins, Vegas (especially at home) , Leafs , Stars (at home) , Coyotes (where appropriate – find the games they ‘could’ win against struggling teams such as Habs, Oilers etc – if not avoid) , Wild (at home in particular), Pens (especially at home, but looking much better on the road) , Flyers, Panthers (road and against medium to weak opposition), Devils **(based on very recent form- this is not a solid tail until I see a few more wins)
Fade- Islanders, Rangers, Habs, Oilers, Canucks, Sabres, Sens, Hawks, Jackets
Avoid – Lightning, Red Wings, Blues, Canes (many slip into fade) , Devils (avoid betting against them for now),

I think thats a bad bet mate. See my post about teams to tail, fade and avoid. Sens aren’t good at all, and especially bad on the road. Preds have only lost 3 home games in a row once this season, and they played the jets vegas and canes. Turris will want revenge for being told he was unnecessary by the Preds. I really think Ottawa is a bad bad play.

Adding – Preds Reg (60%) only playing this small and probably in a parlay with Vegas Reg. Preds have disappointed me too often (including in Ottawa) to play anything significant.
Preds Sens over 5.5 (60%) – Sens love to leak goals, and with the reverse fixture ending 4-3 I wouldn’t be shocked to see a 6 goal game here.
Vegas Reg (70%) – Vegas are the best side in the league without a doubt. The Ducks managed a win in OT over a very bad Wild (on the day) and were lucky that the Wild sat back and let them equalise. The Knights aren’t as lazy as the Wild and are a team that keep going at you all game. Vegas has won the last 3 meetings, and with no Kesler for Ducks this makes it even sweeter.
Kings ML (60%) – I’m not convinced by the Hawks 7-1 win against the Caps. They still suck hard. Kings are literally one win out of a playoff spot and have more to play for here. The addition of Phaeuf seems to have rejuvenated the Kings, and I’m not sure a Hawks side who have nothing to really play for stand much of a chance. Simply put Hawks are a team to fade. And above all else, I’ll take Quick over Forsberg any day. Kings are a strong dog here.
