I avoided having a tip yesterday. If I was to have a tip it was only to have a tip and it would have been forced.
The Stars beat the Coyotes 3-2. With the win the Stars have gone 5-0-1 over their last 6 games and are tied with the Blues for top spot in the Central Division.
The Bruins beat the Oilers 2-1 in overtime. For the Bruins this was their 4th straight win and now have a 3 point lead over the Lightning for top spot in the Eastern Conference and the League.
The Avalanche beat the Islanders 3-1. Francouz made 27 saves and had his shutout bid ruined with about 2 minutes left. It would have been his first NHL shutout.
The Panthers beat the Ducks 4-1. After having a rough go since the All-Star break going 4-6-1, the Panthers have won 2 in a row and now have jumped the Maple Leafs in the standings currently sitting in 3rd in the Atlantic.
The Rangers scored 5 times in the 3rd period to beat the Hawks 6-3. The Hawks have to make up their mind here. Do they still think they have a shot at the postseason and if so are they built for a long run or a first round exit? When do they plan for the future and start making some moves to better their chances moving forward? Toews, Kane, Keith and the rest of the core aren’t getting any younger and the window for this team is quickly closing.
The final game of the night was the Wild vs the Canucks and the Wild won 4-3 in a shootout. Galchenyuk scored his first for the Wild since arriving in the trade with the Penguins and Dean Evason got his first win as a head coach.
A nice and busy night for us with 8 games.
Flyers vs Blue Jackets Betting Tips
This is a big game here. The Flyers are in 3rd in the Metro, the Jackets are in 6th but they are only separated by a single point.
The Flyers are a great home team but play like shit when on the road. They are 20-5-4 with a goal differential of plus 43 when in Philadelphia. On the road they are 13-15-3 with a differential of minus 23.
The Jackets have lost 6 straight and they should take advantage of the Flyers road woes and snap that skid here and jump back into the playoffs.

Penguins vs Maple Leafs Betting Tips

This game features two of the top offenses in the league and the Leafs know they have to go hard in each game. They are banged up with Ceci and Reilly both out on the back end and Johnsson is out for the rest of the regular season. They need some of their depth guys to step up and not rely so much on the Matthews line.
This is the 3rd meeting of these teams. The first 2 were won by the Penguins and both games were high scoring each hitting 7 goals.
