Only the one game yesterday and we had no tips.
The Sens were in Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets. The Jackets were favored and I decided to stay away from a tip as the Jackets would have needed to be in regulation or -1.5 to have any odds worth betting. The Jackets won 4-3 in overtime.
The trade deadline was yesterday and there was some moves made. Some teams added some pieces to better their chances and some were sellers and made moves that will help them in the future. I have always been a huge fan of the trade deadline. Its exciting and fun to see who adds who and how it helps them moving forward.
The Islanders got Pageau from the Sens and paid a huge price for him, a 1st round pick, a 2nd rounder and a conditional 3rd. The Hurricanes traded with the Panthers for Vincent Trocheck sending back 4 players including Erik Haula. They got Sami Vatanen for two prospects and a draft pick. The also grabbed Brady Skjei from the Rangers for a 1st round draft pick.
The Penguins did what that Penguins do and they went and got Patrick Marleau for a conditional 3rd. They also added Conner Sheary and Rodrigues for Kahun from the Sabres.
The Leafs traded Hutchinson to the Avalanche for a prospect. The Sabres added Wayne Simmonds who has had a rough season with the Devils. The Bruins and Ducks swapped forwards with the Bruins getting Nick Ritchie and the Ducks recieving Danton Heinen.
The Oilers added more help picking up Andreas Athanasiou for Gagner and a couple 2nd round picks and Tyler Ennis for a 5th. The Flames got some help on defense picking up both Erik Gustafsson and Derek Forbort for picks.
The Knights and Blackhawks made a move swapping goalies and the Leafs were involved too. The Leafs got a 5th round pick, the Knights got Robin Lehner and the Hawks got Malcolm Subban. The Knights now have Fleury and Lehner to form arguably the best tandem in the league.
There were many other moves but these were the ones that will have the biggest impact.
A busy night of hockey with 13 games.
Jets vs Capitals Betting Tips
The Jets have gone 3-4 over their last 7 games and did nothing to help the team at the deadline.
The Caps are due for a run. They got Ovechkin his 700th goal and added Brandon Dillion and Ilya Kovalchuk. They seem ready to make a run for the Cup again. Ovechkin getting his milestone goal is going to help them as it seemed to be affecting the whole team.
The Jets haven’t been good lately and now they get to take on the Caps in a home and home set.

Oilers vs Ducks Betting Tips
The Oilers got McDavid back after he missed 6 games and didn’t look like he missed any time scoring a goal and adding 2 assists. At the deadline they added Andreas Athanasiou, Mike Green and Tyler Ennis. This team looks like they are going to challenge for top spot in the Pacific Division. They are currently in 2nd but only 3 points back of the Knights.
The Ducks have dropped 4 in a row and have a 12-13-4 record at home. The Oilers have a good road record going 18-12-2 on the season.
With the moves they made, the return of McDavid and Draisaitl playing like he has I have to back the Oilers here.
