Only 2 games yesterday
The Sharks were leading 1-0 for most of the game but the Jets were able to tie it up with 26 seconds left in the 3rd and force overtime. The Jets only needed 1:33 of overtime for Scheifele to score and complete the comeback. He became the Jets franchise leader in goals with his 329th.
The Kings had a big 3rd period scoring 4 times to beat the Knights 5-2
There’s 12 games tonight. I’m still a little reluctant to make many tips with teams still getting back to business after the two week break.
Stars vs Jackets
Stars are playing well going 8-1-1 in last 10 and have won their last 3 games in a row. On the road they have gone 17-11-1.
The Jackets are 5-4-1 in last 10 and have gone 18-6-4 at home.
These teams played on February 2nd with the Stars winning 5-3.
It’s the road record vs the home record that has me put off here.
Flames vs Capitals
The Flames are 4-5-1 in last 10 and are 10-11-4 on the road.
The Caps are scoring with ease right now. They have won their last 2 game scoring 15 times over those games.
I would like to think the Caps win here with them scoring so many goals. But the goals will ease up at some point so I’m going to stay away.
Hurricanes vs Canadiens
Canes aren’t playing up to their potential lately. They’re 5-4-1 in last 10 and 12-14-3 on the road.
The Habs are slumping again. This time they are 2-7-1 in their last 10 and 13-12-4 in Montreal.
I would lean towards the Canes to win but they have lost their last 3 road games.
Leafs vs Bruins
The Leafs won both games they played on the weekend. On the road they are 15-9-2.
The Bruins have lost their last 2 games played and have gone 18-9-4 at home.
The Bruins are without their top two defensemen with McAvoy and Lindholm both on the IR.
With the Bruins without their top defensemen and the Leafs leading in SF/60, SA/60, GF/60 and GA/60 I’ll go with the Leafs here.

Penguins vs Flyers
Good rivalry game here with the Battle of Pennsylvania. They have played twice this season with each team winning once.
The Pens have lost 3 straight and are 3-6-1 in last 10 and 10-15-5 on the road.
The Flyers have won 2 in a row and are also 3-6-1 in last 10 and at home have gone 14-13-1.
With both teams have shitty records over last 10 I find this a tough game to predict.
Oilers vs Lightning
This has the potential to be a high scoring game. The Oilers are tied for 4th in GPG and the Lightning are 3rd.
The Oilers are on a 3 game losing skid and are 5-4-1 in last 10.
The Lightning are on a 5 game win streak and are 7-2-1 in last 10.
The Oilers need to turn things around and with this game having goals written all over it, this could be the one. But the Lightning on that streak I have to avoid.
Rangers vs Islanders
A big rivalry here.
The Rangers are in 5th in the Metro, 5-5 in last 10 and 14-13-2 on the road. They are 1-1 since the 4 Nations but have given up 11 goals over those two games.
The Isles are in 6th in the Metro, 6-4 in last 10 but on a 3 game win streak and 13-12-2 at home.
I would like to take the Rangers but after seeing them get lit up for 8 goals by the Sabres I’m passing on them. The Isles just aren’t a team I like to back so I’m passing here.
Kraken vs Blues
Nothing here for me.
Wings vs Wild
The Wings are 8-1-1 in last 10 and 13-10-3 on the road.
The Wild are on a 3 game win streak but are 13-12-1 at home. The will be without Kaprizov longer than expected and Hartman is still suspended.
The Wings are better in CF, CA, SF/60, SA/60, GF/60. I think there’s enough here to make it a play.

The Panthers lost their last game and I feel like they may need more time readjusting after having so many of their key players go to the 4 Nations.

The Hawks are ahead of only the Sharks in the standings.
Utah is 4-4-2 in last 10 and are 1-1 since the break.
Either team gives me any confidence so I’m staying away.
