We had 2 tips yesterday and went 1-1.
I went with the Canadiens to beat the Devils in regulation. I thought with the Devils moving Kinkaid and being 14 points out of the playoffs would signal them throwing in the towel on this year. Well they came out and beat the Habs 2-1.
We also went with over 6 in the Kings vs Lightning game. This looked like a loss when it was 2-0 Tampa Bay after the 2nd. But the Kings outscored the Lightning 3-1 in the 3rd to force OT and the Lightning won 4-3 in a shootout giving us the over.
The Golden Knights made the biggest splash yesterday trading for Mark Stone who quickly signed an 8 year extension. This move makes the Knights a favorite to challenge in the playoffs. The Preds acquired Wayne Simmonds and Mikael Granlund which is going to help with the forward depth which was their only real weakness with the way they are set on defense and in goal. Going to be interesting to see how all of the moves made yesterday affect how things change going forward.
As usual its a nice and busy Tuesday night of hockey for us with 11 games.
Canadiens vs Red Wings Betting Tips:
The Habs didn’t really do anything with the trade deadline. They traded Michael Chaput for Jordan Weal. Which means absolutely nothing.
The Wings made some more significant moves trading Gustav Nyquist and Nick Jensen both contributing members of their roster.
The Wings have lost their last 5 games so those moves aren’t going to help with their woes. The Habs are going to be looking to bounce back after their loss to the Devils yesterday.

Stars vs Golden Knights Betting Tips:
The Stars acquired Mats Zuccarello who scored a goal and added an assist in his debut with the Stars to only leave the game with a broken arm. To make matters worse for the Stars Jamie Benn is considered doubtful for this game.
The Knights caught the biggest fish on deadline day and I see them making a push to climb the standings heading into the postseason. The have been playing poorly losing 3 in a row and has won only 3 times in their past 11 games.
I think bringing in Stone is going to give them a kick in the ass and they will turn things around.

Penguins vs Blue Jackets Betting Tips:
The Penguins are usually a team not afraid to make moves when its the trade deadline but this year they didnt add anything instead deciding to ride the roster they have. Maybe not the best idea for them considering they are sitting outside the playoffs.
The Jackets decided to switch their stance. They were expected to be sellers and move Bobrovsky and Panarin but in the end they kept them and added help at each position. They grabbed forwards Duchene and Dzingel, defenseman Adam Mcquaid and goaltender Keith Kinkaid. These moves show the league that they are ready to go all out for it this year and deal with the possible roster losses in the summer.
Pens need points to get back into the playoffs and the Jackets made huge moves so I see this as a huge game for both teams where the Pens want to remind people that they are still a powerhouse and the Jackets want to show people that there was a method to their madness.
