1-1 last night for a slight loss.
Had the Hurricanes to beat the Oilers in regulation. Bit of a tight one but the Canes pulled it off with a solid 2-1 victory.
Had some big dogs in the Jackets and even though they lost, they looked solid value for that price. They unfortunately managed to blow two leads with the Pens getting a big PPG in the 3rd.
Just three games today. I’m feeling a bit under the weather so write-ups will be short. Let’s see what we got:
Capitals vs Leafs:
Leafs are just not a team I am remotely interested in touching at the moment. Watch them follow up that last game with a dull 1-0 affair or something.
Devils vs Canucks:
On paper, this should be a very high scoring game based on the way both teams have been performing. 6.5 is a bit of an iffy line for these two teams overall though. Devils do average 3 goals per game this season and concede 3.6, while Canucks are in the 2.76 and 2.74 range. Could go over for sure but don’t feel good backing that.
Kings vs Bruins:
Kings slight dogs which is interesting. They have been playing well. They aren’t really dominant at home, while Boston are solid on the road. Slight value in Kings maybe but not enough for me to back them.
Under Bs Kings, two tight Ds, good netminding, can’t bet on Bs, kings have this game circled

To WIN moneyline: Vancouver
Full game OVER 6.0: Canucks/Devils
Full game OVER 6 penalties: Bruins/Kings
Not sure you can bet on a game’s penalty count. You can in soccer, why not in hockey? Canucks are on a major roll and should be loving this specific game as part of the trip; they are in the playoff hunt with a lot of positive momentum. After this game they have two days off before playing another weak team, so should be licking their chops at the available points here. They need points and I can see them surpassing Nashville, Anaheim and Dallas for a Wild Card spot. The Over is likely maybe even more than the win. Two of the Canucks three most recent losses were second games of back-to-backs, but the Devil’s defense is full of holes. Halak is fine, but Demko is a brick wall. I expect the Devils to be blitzed fast and furious by Vancouver. As for Toronto and the Caps (who I will not bet on ever), contemplating the Over 6.0, I just can’t see it clearly. Detroit’s GA count is one of the worst 6 teams in the league, and both teams tonight have average/good GA counts.
