Only 1 game yesterday
The Sens beat the Preds 5-2 for their 5th win in a row.
After only 1 game yesterday we have 14 games tonight.
Jackets vs Sabres
Jackets have been playing well over their last 10 going 6-3-1.
The Sabres are 5-5 in last 10 but are on a 3 game winning streak.
Either team is very good based on where they are playing with the Jackets 9-15-4 on the road and the Sabres 12-12-3 at home.
Wild vs Bruins
Wild are coming off of a game where they looked like shit losing 6-0 to the Sens. They are 4-6 in last 10 and an impressive 20-6-3 on the road.
The Bruins are in 6th in the Atlantic, are 6-3-1 in last 10 and at home have gone 17-8-3.
Was leaning towards the Bruins but the Wilds road play has me put off of that.
Senators vs Lightning
Sens just played yesterday.
Lightning are 4-5-1 in last 10.
With the Sens just playing and the Lightning’s recent results, I feel better just avoiding this game.
Devils vs Penguins
Not liking anything from this game.
Devils are 4-4-2 in last 10.
Penguins are 4-6-0 in last 10.
With both teams play of late I’m passing.
Panthers vs Capitals
Panthers 7-3 in last 10 and on a 3 game win streak. They are in 1st in the Atlantic and 7th overall.
Caps are 7-1-2 in last 10 but have dropped their last 2 in a row. They are in 1st in the Metro and 2nd overall.
On the road the Panthers are 16-10-1 and at home the Caps are 16-4-5.
Could make a case for each team here and that’s making this impossible for me to find a winner so I have to pass.
Knights vs Islanders
Yeah not touching the Knights right now. They are on a 3 game losing games skid and are 2-5-3 in last 10.
Islanders are 7-3-0 in last 10 and 12-11-2 at home. They just had their 7 game win streak snapped so I’m not sure how they will respond.
I’m passing.
Hurricanes vs Jets
Huge game here.
The Canes made a couple crazy moves which will help them going forward. They are 6-2-2 in their last 10 and in 2nd in the Metro.
The Jets are in 1st place overall. They have won 6 in a row and are 8-2-0 in last 10.
Jets are in 1st and Canes in 5th. I’m staying away as this is a game that’s going to be great to watch.
Oilers vs Blues
Oilers are in 1st in the Pacific. They lead the league in SOGA and are 6th in GPG. The have lost their last 2 games but are 6-3-1 in last 10. On the road they are 14-7-2.
The Blues are under .500 so far this season. They have lost their last 3 home games in a row and are 11-13-1 in St. Louis this season.
Oilers have better CF, CA, SF/60, SA/60, GF and GA.

Flyers vs Utah
Flyers brought in some help with the move they made with the Flames. They are on a 3 game losing skid.
Utah has lost their last 5 games.
Easy skip for me here.
Leafs vs Flames
Leafs, as usual, should be better than they are. I just have a hard time trusting them enough to make them a pick.
The Flames are 5-5 in last 10 and made a move to shake things up. They need all the help they can get to stay in playoff picture.
Not a fan of the Leafs play of late and the Flames are in the same boat in my opinion.
Avalanche vs Canucks
The Avalanche have won their last 2 games and seem to have accepted the huge move they made and
The Canucks have addressed some of their drama by moving one of the players rumored to be involved.
With the Canucks addressing their drama and at home they should have the advantage but the Avalanche are riding back to back shutouts from Blackwood so this game could go either way.
Wings vs Kraken
The Wings have won 6 in a row and find themselves in the playoff picture. On the road they are 12-10-3
Kraken are in 7th in the Pacific. At home they are 13-13-3.
They played each other back in mid January and the Wings won 6-2. The data seems to favor them too so I’m taking them here.

Stars vs Ducks
Stars are on a 5 game win streak, are 7-3-0 in last 10 and are 14-10-0 on the road.
The Ducks are 5-4-1 in last 10, are in 6th place in the Pacific and 12-12-2.
They have played once this season and the Ducks won that 4-2.
Would have to take the Stars -1.5 on the road here and seeing their road record I don’t get much confidence from it so I’m skipping.
Canadiens vs Sharks
Habs on a 5 game losing skid vs the Sharks who are 2-8 in last 10. Easy pass for me
Since most sports are in a transitional funk at this time of year, betting is being extra tough. AHL and NCAAB are wildly inconsistent. Majors are showing disruption. The only thing I’ll look at is props, in games involving teams who are showing some kind of strong trend I can use to find a pick. Slow process. Maybe the Oilers roster props tonight.
The problem with Detroit is that they’re on the road, playing with one day rest after a back-to-back and 4th game in 6 days to add to their exhaustion. Seattle has had 1 day off, and had 2 days off before their last game, which was also at home.
