Hi all,
Apologies for the lateness in the tips today. Had an appointment last night that went late so a bit of a slow start this morning. My kids are off for a second successive day in a row due to freezing rain all over the city so that’s caused me to be a bit slow as well. On top of that there is a smorgasbord of games tonight so a lot to analyze. I also did my underdog system picks early this morning then needed a mental break as I don’t want them to influence our picks yet.
It was a 1-0 night last night as the Battle of Ontario delivered. A thrilling game that saw the Senators up for it big time. They came up short however and Leafs were able to squeak out the 5-4 win.
What an odd game in Boston. Bruins go down 1-0 at the first, hammer three past them unanswered in the second then Rangers manage to tie it up and take the game in a shootout. Interesting one that and not a good sign for Boston.
It’s Thursday, February 7th and we’ve got a whopping 14 games on the board.

Kings vs Flyers Betting Tips:
The LA Kings have been pdoing better in recent times and come into this game with a 2 game winning streak. Two road wins against the Devils and Rangers.
That Devils win was on the 2nd leg of a back to back where they went to OT as well so that’s even more impressive.
Philly are battling hard to keep their winning streak alive. They’ve now racked up 8 in a row. The heads didn’t go down in that Oilers game and they have had quite a few tough battles during this streak.
I think this will be a similar one. Philly are battling hard but I think when you get to this stage in a win streak, nerves kick in too. The Kings offense is coming in hot. Stolarz is confirmed. He had a solid game against the Rangers but he’s been pretty terrible prior to that.

Devils vs Islanders Betting Tips:
It’s interesting reading all the press coming out of the Islanders camp at the moment. Despite the excellent run they’re on there are realizing there is concerns in the team. Those are the type of things they want to iron out if they want to go deep in the playoffs.
They’ve been good on the bounce back lately and after the way they lost that game against the Bruins I’d think they would come out flying.
Despite some recent struggles, I do see the Devils trending upwards in the advanced metrics. I think they might pull off some upsets soon. I’m just hoping that isn’t tonight. Everything I see from the Islanders suggests they are really going to take this game seriously and that it’s an important one for them.

Blackhawks vs Canucks Betting Tips:
I think until any big trades happen with the Blackhawks or they lose, we’ve just got to ride this run that they are on.
They’ve proven themselves lately while Canucks struggle on the road lately.
Hawks are a team playing for fun at the moment and just having a blast out there offensively. If you can’t keep up with them you’re toast. Canucks run hot and cold and I don’t know if they have what it takes to keep up with them.
