We had 2 tips yesterday and we went 1-1.
Our win was the Oilers to beat the Senators in regulation. This was a close one but the Oilers won 3-1. We needed an empty net goal at the end to get the 2 goal lead. This game had a couple fights in the first 2 minutes. It seems like the Sens frustration is getting to them.
Our loss was the tip of over 5.5 in the Hurricanes vs Blue Jackets game. The Jackets won 3-2. Since coming over in the Laine trade, Jack Roslovic has been great for the Jackets. He didn’t grab a point in his first two games but has since put up points in 5 straight games with 2 goals and 5 assists.
The Leafs beat the Canucks 3-1. Matthews scored again and has now scored in 8 straight games and has points in 10 his last 10 games.
The Isles beat the Rangers 2-0 and it was Varlamov’s league leading third shutout of the year. The Coyotes tied the game in the final second and picked up the 4-3 shootout win against the Blues. The Lightning beat the Predators 4-1.
For today we have 8 games.

These teams played on Sunday and it was the Flyers winning 7-4.
On the year the Flyers are ranked 8th in GPG with 3.54, the Capitals are ranked 5th with 3.58. Both teams are in the bottom half of the league in GAPG.
The Caps last 5 games have been high scoring with totals of; 11, 6, 8, 7 and 9. The Flyers last 4 were similar; 11, 3, 7 and 7.
This seems like a game with the potential to be high scoring so I’ll take the Over.

Lightning vs Predators
If last night was a sign then this should be a Lightning win.
The Lightning have won 5 in a row and all wins were in regulation. The only concern for us is that this is the Lightnings first back to back of the season.
But its against the struggling Predators. They haven’t had a great season up to this point going 5-7.
Another plus for the Lightning is that McElhinney started yesterday so Vasilevskiy should get the start here.
