Had only one tip yesterday.
Went with the Wild to win in regulation against the Jets but the Jets won 2-0. This was a close game and the Jets scored an empty net goal at the end. This was a scrappy game that saw Lowry and Foligno fight each other twice.
The Jackets beat the Capitals 5-4. This game was tied until the last minute where Jenner scored for the Jackets and the win. The Sens beat the Canes 4-3 and won the season series going 2-0-1 and considering the Sens record this season that’s a huge accomplishment.
The Devils beat the Habs 7-1, the Knights shutout the Oilers 4-0 and the Pens beat the Bruins 4-2 after trailing 2-0.
For today we have 6 games scheduled. As much as I tried I couldn’t find a game or tip I liked enough to make it official.
Wings vs Flyers Betting Tips:
This game is tough to call. Either team has been very good of late.
The Wings have gone 4-5-1 over last 10, the Flyers have won 2 in a row but have had a 10 game and a franchise record 13 game losing streaks this season.
They haven’t played since February 3rd 2020 so tough to find any data to help us find a winner. Going back to 2018 the Flyers have win the last 5 games between these teams but so much has changed for both squads.
Will be interesting to see if the Flyers can continue their small win streak they started before the All-Star break or if the break set them back. No tip here.
Blackhawks vs Oilers Betting Tips:
The Hawks are stumbling as they have for most of the season. They are 1-5-2 over their last 8 games and have lost their last 3 straight.
The Oilers are coming into this game after getting shutout last night by the Golden Knights which was only the 2nd time this season that they were shutout.
The Oilers had won 4 of 6 heading into the break but had a weak showing last night.
The Oilers will probably go with Skinner in goal as Smith played last night and Koskinen out.
This is yet another game that I find hard to back either team. If you like the Oilers you would need to take them in regulation. I like their chances in this game but not enough in regulation to make it a tip.
Predators vs Stars Betting Tips:
The Predators will be looking to continue their strong play in this game. Heading into the All-star break they were on a 4-0-1 run. They need to continue to pick up points as they currently sit in 2nd in the Central but only 1 point ahead of the Wild who have 4 games in hand on them.
The Stars were also on a run heading into the break winning 5 of 7. But they are in the 5th spot in the Central, 9 points behind the 4th place Blues.
At home the Stars have gone 15-6-1, on the road the Preds have gone 14-7-4. I feel like this should be a good and it’s tough to predict a winner.
Knights vs Flames Betting Tips:
The Knights are in 1st place in the Pacific Divsion and hold a 7 point lead over the Flames who are in the final wild card spot.
Because of games being postponed due to COVID-19, the Flames end the regular-season with 40 games in 80 days, including nine back-to-back.
This is a big game for the Flames as a win would get them closer to the Knights and give them a better chance at catching the teams in front of them.
The Knights obviously know that the Flames are going to come into this game ready to gain ground.
Both teams come into this on 3 game win streaks. I was leaning towards an over 6 play but I have talked myself out of it. The Knights are averaging 4 per game over their win streak but one was against the Sabres and another against a rusty Mike Smith last night. The Flames are averaging 3 per game over their win streak but there was also a 1-0 overtime win against the Canucks in there.
Coyotes vs Kraken Betting Tips:
I have no idea about this game. It’s the two last place teams in the Western Conference. The Coyotes are in last in the Central, the Kraken are in last place in the Pacific.
The Kraken are the favorites here and to get above our minimum 1.70 we would need to take them -1.5 and with it being the Kraken there’s no way I can back that.
An easy skip for me.
Islanders vs Canucks Betting Tips:
Both teams are out of the playoff picture. The Isles are 17 points behind the Bruins who are in 8th in the wild card standings. The Canucks are only 4 points behind the Flames who are in the 8th and final playoff spot.
It’s hard to call a winner here. Both teams have underperformed all year and the Isles road record of 7-7-3 vs the Canucks home record of 9-8-3 also doesn’t help.
I got Pens to win and total over, close game with happy ending. The other was Swiss+1,5, as predicted Russians werent playing they best hockey but this time it was enough to win for both of us.
Today I take under 6 in Coyotes vs Kraken game, both time struggle to score and I expect better performance today from Coyotes.
Olympics, well today not that surprising Czech loss against Denmark, their team is quite old and they have really low scoring efficiency.
Tomorrow I expect Canada and Sweden to win in regulation. Tre konor burnt in last WC so I expect this time they will play better for sure.
Canadians are looking for another gold, its their first game but I dont know how are these guys doing it but hey usually play very well even without playing together any kind of tournaments like Karjala so, with odds around 1.8 definitely worth to take.
i am big oiler fan but sure have made lots of bets on oilers giving up first goal lol
”nhl betting tips” and u are skipping every single game. great success!
What’s wrong with that? Should we be forcing bets just for the sake of it when we don’t believe in them? That seems pretty fucking dumb.
Do you have any takes on olympic hockey?
Nah neither of us are really that interested in it this year
Too bad, it’s good hockey! Gave it a chance even though I was pissed after the NHL cancelled.
Oh yeah we are still watching it – can’t beat hockey at any level 🙂 Just not really too interested in handicapping it.
