A massive win for the Montreal Canadiens last night over the Golden Knights as they tie up the series.
It was a great performance by Montreal as they look to to take a lead tomorrow night.
Today we’ve got Lightning vs Islanders Game 3. Here’s our thoughts:
Scott: Game 2 was a great game that saw the Lightning win 4-2 but their was some controversy.
First Point was pushed by Isles player Pelech into Varlamov and Point got the goalie interference penalty and the Isles scored on the ensuing powerplay. Then the Lightning scored in the 2nd period when they had 7 players on the ice.
The game was a heated one with plenty of shoving after the whistles. Maroon and Martin fought but it wasn’t much of a fight with those two involved.
With game 3 in New York in front of the Isles rabid fans I expect them to have a good game. The Lightning will push back and try and ride the momentum of winning the last game and try and win one on the road as the Isles did in game 1.
But the Coliseum will be rocking. I think the Isles will reward their fans with a strong effort.
Isles win incl OT
Graeme: I’m in a rush here as have to go meet a friend with the Netherlands game. I agree with Scott in regard to backing the Islanders though. They’ve proven they can hang with Tampa and as underdogs it’s a nice play.
