No tips yesterday in what was a tight night of hockey.
We wanted to take the Preds but were very wary of the Blackhawks who currently have the ability to show up whenever. Avoiding that one was the correct play as the Hawks forced OT.
Sens losing streak ended in Anaheim with an OT win over the Ducks. And the Flames and Avs had quite the game with some clinical finishing by the Flames there.
Busy slate for Thursday, January 10th with 12 games on the board.

Islanders vs Rangers Betting Tips:
The Rangers have lost 4 straight but they are at home where they generally battle hard. You can usually count on them at home to be up for it and I think they will be in the “Battle of New York”.
The Islanders got beat off the Canes last time out and head back on the road again where they have played the majority of their games lately. They have performed well here.
I like this to be a good battle. Not just because of the rivalry, but the Rangers home performances plus the Islanders still pushing for the playoffs.

Bruins vs Capitals Betting Tips:
Teams like the Caps are always appealing when they are the underdogs.
The Bruins are on a good little run at the moment but those runs can end in the blink of an eye. Look at December when they managed to take wins against the Habs, Ducks and Preds then immediately crashed to the Canes and Devils.
Capitals are a phenomenal team who you can put up against any other team in the NHL. Doesn’t matter the opponent or if it is home and away.
A lot has been said about the Bruins record against the Caps and that can be in a teams head. It’s the type of thing the Capitals love and usually spurs them on.
Always happy to take the Caps as a dog. Bruins overall home record is the only thing stopping this from being a bigger play.

Hurricanes vs Lightning Betting Tips:
I’ve got a soft spot for the Canes so I love the run that they are on but I think it comes crashing to an end tonight.
Tampa bounced back from that Sharks game to defeat the Jackets 4-0. The star of that game was Vasilevskiy who was in freaking beast mode. He has had some poor games this season but that was excellent and he was unbeatable and I think that continues tonight.
The nice thing is even if it doesnt, Tampa still has the best offense in the league so even if he leaks the goals they can still overcome that. And ending the Canes streak should be some nice motivation.
