It was a busy day yesterday with 10 games. Had 2 tips and went 2-0.
Had the Kraken to beat the Sabres and they did 5-2. The Sabres scored 1st but the Kraken answered with two of their own. In the 2nd the Sabres tied it up early only to have Seattle score 3 unanswered for the win.
Also had the Canucks to beat the Isles which they did 5-2 for their 3rd straight win.
I had mentioned that it was hard to pick a winner of the Kings vs Lightning game with both playing so poorly so it was nice to see it go to overtime.
The Leafs beat the Sharks again after beating them on Saturday this time 7-1. The Jets continued their win streak when they beat the Jackets 5-0 to push their streak to 7 games. The Ducks snapped their losing skid at 5 games when they beat the Predators 5-3 after being up 5-0 halfway through the 3rd.
For tonight we only have 3.
Canadiens vs Flyers Betting Tips:
Over the last 10 games the Canadiens have been better than the Flyers going 5-4-1 vs 3-4-3.
The Habs haven’t played since Saturday so they will be more rested for this tilt.
For GPG the Habs are 27th, the Flyers 25th. It’s on defense where the Flyers are much better than Montreal ranking 7th in GAPG and SOGA where the Habs are 26th and 29th.
On the road the Habs have gone 9-7-3 and at home Philly has had similar results going 9-8-2.
I actually don’t hate the Habs chances here. But I see the are going to start Primeau who hasn’t put up great numbers going 4-4 with a 3.30 GAA and a .898 save percentage.
Wild vs Stars Betting Tips:
They just played each other on Monday with the Stars winning 4-0.
With Dallas at home I would lean towards them winning again. But the Wild will be looking to get some revenge. But looking at the their home and away records it definitely goes the Stars way where they have gone 12-7-2 and the Wild on the road are 7-10-2.
The stats say that the Stars should win this game but the Wild will have something to say and I expect them to have a better effort. If it’s enough to get them the win is hard to say.
If we were to take the Stars it would have to be in regulation but like I said, the Wild will be better here.
They have played twice with the Stars winning both, last games 4-0 win and an 8-3 win in November.
The Wild are due for some goals and they seem to score more on the road than they do at home. If I’m taking anything from this game I would go with the Over 6.5. My problem is that the Wild are 1-3 this month and if we take away the 4 goals they scored in their OT win against the Jackets then they have scored only twice in the 3 losses combined.
Knights vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
This should be a good game. Both teams are in 2nd place in their respective divisions.
The Knights are 3-7 over last 10 but did pick up a win against the Isles in their last game.
The Avs also won their last game but are a more respectable 7-2-1 last 10.
The Avs are 2nd in GPG and the Knights 15th but when it comes to GAPG the Knights are 7th and the Avs 18th.
They played back in November and the Knights pounded them 7-0. I’m sure the Avs remember that all too well and will want to get some payback.
I could make a case for both teams to win here so I have to pass.
