1-1 yesterday for a tiny profit.
We won with the underdog play, and lost with the easy one. Gotta love it.
Jackets blew the Kraken away 6-2 in very dominant fashion. Still surprised at those odds.
We had the Knights and I was a bit surprised at that price too – bookies must have known something as the Islanders walked all over them. Zero energy from the Knights there, and very low effort play.
Thankfully the bookies saved my ass from a 1-2 night with the odds on the Oilers. That one was a play up until I went to do the odds, and the Penguins blasted them.
Five games today let’s get to it:
Red Wings vs Blackhawks:
Wings are quite the streaky team. They are in the middle of a nice winning streak right now as they host the Blackhawks.
Chicago coming off that 3-1 win over the Avs. Man this is a tough call – the metrics definitely leeeeean towards the Wings in regulation. Their goaltending is the big concern. The Hawks are generally consistent with 2.7 goals on average same as their xG.
The Red Wings 5 vs 5 metrics are very off putting though. They have been fortunate with a sick power play. And the Blackhawks overall metrics this season is pretty darn good on the PK.
That data – which to be honest is something I don’t look into as much as I should – is going to result in me passing tonight but I am going to be paying attention to that as it probably should be a bigger factor for me.
Capitals vs Canadiens:
Washington stuttering a bit at the moment. Not a big fan of them in regulation at all with a worse GA/60 and a WAY WORSE xGA/60 over the last 10.
Hurricanes vs Canucks:
Not really feeling anything about either team. I will say metrics do go towards the Canes – most of them anyway. But with their form just don’t feel super duper confident about backing them in regulation plus on a B2B.
Jets vs Kings:
Ooof this will be an interesting one. Jets struggling a tad and Kings on a little roll. I feel like at the odds very, very slight edge to the Jets but not enough for me to back.
Utah vs Sharks:
Would have to be Utah -1.5 and yeah the metrics don’t support that. Their goalscoring or lack of it is the issue. Like – it might be opponenet dependent. You see how many they put past the Ducks who have a similar xGA to the Sharks. Last 10 stats Flames are 11th worst they got 5 past them. Kraken though really bad and they only got 2 there.
Yeah tis a pass but I don’t hate the play I guess.
