Decided to stay away from having tips yesterday. And looking back I am fine with it.
I wanted to go with Leafs but it would have needed to be -1.5 to get decent odds. I wasn’t sure how they would respond to being without Morgan Reilly. Although it was against a struggling Devils squad the Leafs came out and beat the Devils 7-4. Matthews scored a hat trick which is the first time since his NHL debut. Reilly’s replacement Rasmus Sandin fit in nicely picking up 2 assists.
I was nervous about taking the Hawks against the Sens as they are a mess. The Hawks were down 2-0 after the first but they came back to tie it and force OT where Toews scored to complete the comeback 3-2. Hawks rookie Dominik Kubalik continued his hot streak scoring both Hawks goals in regulation. He has scored in 5 straight games and now has 18 this season.
The odds for a Canucks win weren’t there so I avoided tipping them and it’s a good thing I did as the Jets won 4-0. Hellebuyck picked up his league leading 4th shutout of the year.
Crosby made his return after missing 28 games and looked great scoing a goal and adding 3 assists when the Penguins beat the Wild 7-3. With him back do the Penguins go a run?
The Blue Jackets beat the Bruins 3-0. Rask had to leave the game 1 minute in when he was elbowed in the head and suffered another concussion.
A slow night with only 2 games.
Flyers vs Blues Betting Tips
The Flyers are 4-5-1 over their last 10. They are on the road for this game where they have gone 9-13-4 on the year.
The Blues are just amazing right now. They are in 1st place in the West and tied for 1st in the league. The have won their last 9 games at home.
It’s tough to bet against the Blues at the moment especially when they are at home. I’ll be backing the Blues until the give me a reason not to. I’m not taking anything away from the Flyers but the Blues just look like the best team in the league right now.
