Ouch. My first day of doing the tips and I completely shit the bed.
I figured the Leafs would continue rolling with their offense and went with over 6.5 in their game vs the Jets. Marner scored twice but the game stayed under when the Leafs won 3-1. After I had posted the tips Laine was reported to be out with an upper body injury and we edited and advised against this tip. We will still count that tip in our stats. We try to get the tips up early for our European readers but with everything going on and if you don’t have to bet early for an early game it’s best to wait until closer to game time to find out any last minute injuries.
My other tip was the Flyers to win in regulation against the Sabres. The Sabres showed up big time and picked up their first win destroying the Flyers 6-1. I was going to take the Flyers tonight and the Sabres tomorrow as I figured Elliott would be getting the start. Well that changed now.
Another busy night of hockey with 8 games. I could only come up with one tip but will give thoughts on all games.
Jets vs Senators Betting Tips:
The Jets are still without Laine and they looked pretty bad yesterday against the Leafs. The Sens are a team that not much is expected of them and they can go out and do their thing.
These teams play three in a row so this could get heated over these games.
With Hellebuyck playing last night, Brossoit should get the start for the Jets. The Sens haven’t played since Saturday and the extra rest should benefit them as will having little pressure on them.

Caps vs Pens: This is basically a coin toss here. The Caps are 2.05 for a win and it’s decent value. But with the Pens picking up thier first win of the year do they ride that momentum into this game?
Blackhawks vs Panthers: Despite their 0-3 record, the Hawks haven’t looked terrible. Their goaltending has held them down and it will continue to do so. Bobrovsky will be making his season debut for the Panthers so he could have a monster game or a stinker. Not betting this game.
Sabres vs Flyers: After yesterday’s game it would seem like a smart play to back the Flyers but as I mentioned yesterday that the Sabres have a better team this year and after that big win I’m not sure which version shows up today.
Devils vs Rangers: Rangers coming off of a 5-0 win against the Isles but they lost their first game against them 4-0. The Devils are 1-0-1 with both games against the Bruins needing extra time to be completed. I was leaning towards Rangers but Devils looked good over thier first 2 games so I’ll skip this one.
Blue Jackets vs Red Wings: Jackets beat the Wings yesterday but the Wings have looked ok they split the two games against the Canes and Bobby Ryan is off to a strong start. I’ll avoid this game.
Hurricanes vs Predators: The Preds are 2-1 but their 2 wins came against the Jackets so not sure how much help that gives us. The Canes are also 2-1 but they split their games against the Wings then beat the Preds so its tough to call who wins this one.
Avalanche vs Kings: The Avalanche are heavy favorites here. They lost their first game 4-1 to the Blues but answered that with a 8-0 pounding of St.Louis the next game. The Kings are 0-2 but both losses were 4-3 OT to the Wild. To get any value here we would need to take Avs -1.5 and I’m not comfortable with that.
