We had a great winning night with the betting tips last night, going 2-1. The Penguins scored first for a nice easy cashi-in, and then the Leafs vs Penguins went over 6 for another win. The only loss was the Rangers against the Bruins. We had the Bruins in that one and they pulled it back to a tie only to lose the shootout victory.
Speaking of winning – holy Leafs! After just two games the Leafs odds jumped to an incredible +1000 to win the Northeast Division. The bookies will be changing that fast!
So onto Thursday, January 24th 2013 NHL Betting Tips – and we’ve got a full list of games on the board. A whopping 10 games to choose from, with some really interesting ones. The Blackhawks travel to Dallas, hoping to go 4-0. Meanwhile the Flyers host the Rangers, with both teams not looking too hot yet. Capitals have struggled so far this season, and the visiting Habs is going to be a really interesting game.
Capitals vs Canadiens: Capitals -1.5 Puck Line
Montreal pulled off a big win against the Florida Panthers earlier this week, but they’re up for a much tougher game this time around. They’re taking on the Washington Capitals who sweeped them last year, including results of 4-1, 3-0 and 3-0. Both home and away, Montreal always seem to struggle against the Capitals.
The Capitals know that they have to turn around their bad start – fast. Enter one Alex Ovechkin. The team itself is solid enough, but the Washington fans are just crying out for someone to turn things around and that man is Ovechkin. Despite being on the right wing this season, he’s racked up 8 shots and is getting involved more and more.
I’m recommending taking the Washington Capitals -1.5 Puck Line – this bet is available for generous +225 odds. My best betting tip for the day.
Sabres vs Hurricanes: Sabres To Win
Carolina have struggled to start the season. They just haven’t looked good at all. All the hopes the fans had in the pre-season are evaporating fast, with Stall and Semin not gelling in the team quite yet. The Hurricanes team was simply picked apart by Tampa. It’s the complete opposite for Buffalo – they’ve looked incredibly solid, putting in some very tight performances and Vanek has been just incredible so far this season.
I like to ride players on hot streaks, and I’m pretty sure the hottest player in the NHL in opening week is Thomas Vanek. He’s so hot the ice is melting around him!

Senators vs Panthers: Senators To Win
Speaking of people on a hot streak – hello, Ottawa Senators. The Sens have looked great so far this season, and that includes a demoliton of the Florida Panthers just 3 days ago, when Ottawa beat them 4-0. Oh yeah – this is the same Ottawa to have won 5 of their last 6 games in Florida.
I guess that’s the bonus when you bet with a UK bookie – silly lines like that. Whether or not Ottawa win this game – that line presents TREMENDOUS value. Home advantage will help Florida, but did you guys watch the Sens-Panthers game? Ottawa just POUNDED the Florida goal constantly, and they’re going to do the same here.
