5 games yesterday and we won our tip.
Had the Wings to beat the Kings and they did 5-2. This was the Wings 3rd win in a row. The Kings were up 2-0 late in the 1st but the Wings scored the next 5.
The Flyers beat the Devils 4-2, McDavid returned from suspension and scored to help the Oilers beat the Kraken 4-2 and the Sharks beat the Penguins 2-1.
8 for us tonight.
Blackhawks vs Lightning
Hawks, as they have been all season, are struggling. They are on a 3 game losing skid and are 2-5-3 last 10.
The Lightning just played the Hawks on Friday and they won 4-3 in overtime. They’re 5-4-1 in last 10 and 15-6-1 at home.
The Lightning are the top ranked team in the league offensively and the Hawks are the 30th ranked defensively.
Would have to take the Lightning -1.5 and the odds for that aren’t very good coming in at 1.71.
Jets vs Canadiens
Jets on a 3 game win streak and are 7-2-1 in last 10. On the road they have gone 14-9-0.
The Habs have been playing better since Dobes came in as one of their goalies. He took his first loss but it was in OT. They are 13-8-4 at home and 6-2-2 last 10.
The Jets won the first game between these teams 4-2 back in December.
The Jets have the advantage in CA, SA/60 and GA/60 everything else is close. If I’m taking the Jets it would have to be in regulation and the numbers aren’t helping that pick.
Bruins vs Sabres
Bruins on 2 game win streak and are 5-3-2 in last 10 but are 9-13-3 on the road.
The Sabres are 4-6-0 in last 10 and have lost 2 in a row. At home they have gone 9-12-3.
Looking at the Bruins road record and the Sabres home record I feel like this game could go either way and so do the sportsbooks.
Hurricanes vs Rangers
Canes have made some huge moves already bringing in Rantanen and Hall and it definitely helps their chances this season. They are 6-2-2 in last 10 but 11-11-3 on the road. They are in 2nd in the Metro.
The Rangers are 6-1-3 in last 10 and 12-10-2 at home. They are in 5th in the Metro and 12 points behind the Canes.
They have played twice already with the Canes winning both, the first 4-3 in November and the second 3-1 in December.
The Canes may experience some issues with the roster moves and looking at their road record and the Rangers home record I feel this is a tough game to call.
Canes have a big advantage in both CF and CA. They also lead on SF/60 and SA/60 but the Rangers have a slight advantage in GF/60 and GA/60 but the Canes lead in XGF and XGA. So the Canes should be scoring more and once the team gets used to the new faces they will.
Canes win incl OT/SO

Avalanche vs Islanders
The Avalanche lost Rantanen but picked up Necas and Drury and 2 draft picks. They are 4-5-1 in last 10 and on the road they are 15-10-0.
The Isles are on a 4 game win streak and are 7-3-0 in last 10. At home they are 11-11-2.
The Avalanche should have the advantage here and looking at their road results vs the Isles home record I do think they win. If they are to win it has to be in regulation and on the road they haven’t had any games need extra time. So long story short if they win on the road it is in regulation.
Looking at the data and it’s really close for everything. I have to pass.
Capitals vs Flames
Caps continue to roll and are tied for 1st place overall. They are 7-1-2 in last 10 and 17-7-1 on the road.
The Flames are in 4th in the Pacific, 6-4 in last 10 and 15-6-3 at home.
4 of the Capitals last 10 games needed extra time and it would need to be in regulation so I have to pass.
Stars vs Knights
Stars are in 2nd in the Central, on a 2 game win streak, 6-4 in last 10 and 13-10-0 on the road.
The Knights are in 1st in the Pacific, 3-6-1 in last 10 and at home they have gone 19-6-1.
They have played twice this season with the Knights winning in December 3-2 and the Stars winning a couple days ago 4-3.
With them just playing I’m fine staying away from this game.
Ducks vs Kraken
Nothing here

To WIN puckline: Tampa
Prop; Tampa’s Raddysh Over 1.5 shots
Tampa is in a major dog fight for a Wild Card position and has just gone through a very challenging 10-game stretch that included three back-to-backs while on the road, so including travel (though luckily, they were short trips). Now at home, they’ve just had 2 days off for the first time in a long time. Chicago has won just 2 games in their last 10 and are letting in an average of 4 goals while almost never scoring 4 or more themselves. Not so great odds but the puckline, while easy to see happening, doesn’t excite me too much, because Chicago won’t inspire Tampa very much. But it’s a mismatch tonight. Chicago has been out-shot in 10 of their most recent 10 games. Ouch! Sometimes it’s by a wide margin, and Tampa isn’t shy about shooting.
