0-2 yesterday.
Jets in regulation loss was a frustrating one. Helly had a bad game, Gibson stood on his bloody head. What can ya do? I don’t think the Corsi & Fenwicks I mentioned yesterday were a factor – that was just one of those games where goaltending decided it.
Avs in regulation – man, heck of a comeback by them but what the hell were they doing? Sabres must hate them with another big comeback against them.
Flames the goaltending was what did them in as expected.
Let’s see what we got for Friday:
Panthers vs Penguins:
Panthers coming off that Canes loss, going up against the Pens who had a slight break. Honestly with how erratic the Pens have been I could see this going either way. There’s not the data to support it, but I wouldn’t mind throwing something on the Pens just in a big gamble at that price.
Blackhawks vs Canadiens:
Blackhawks just absolutely horrible at the moment. Montreal come in performing well. Both teams had some rest. I was thinking the metrics would support an easy bet on the Habs – but it’s a lot closer than I expected, and based on that the odds seem right on the money.
Blues vs Senators:
Nothing jumping out for this one.
Oilers vs Ducks:
Data isn’t there for Oilers -2.5. Heck barely even -1.5. With no Gibson tonight I assume and having played last night, could see it.
Canucks vs Predators:
Two rather torrid teams. Nothing in the metrics like maybe slight advantage Preds but bookies have them as favourites.
Alas no redemption arc today for me.
PROP: Habs Caufield OVER 0.5 Points
Lean: Habs on the moneyline
Lean: Anaheim at +2.5
Not seeing much today. Somebody put spinach in the Anaheim water supply and they’re getting great results; 12 points in their last 10 games, including against some very tough teams including Edmonton recently and Winnipeg twice! If the Oilers don’t show up at 100%, they could fall behind fast and be in a tight fight tonight, and winning by 3+ goals just doesn’t look to be in the cards right now.
Parlay Anaheim +2.5 with NBA New Orleans game going OVER 233. The NBA game is two teams who can score high against teams with weak defense, and those two have about the worst defenses going.
