Only two games last night.
The Blackhawks beat the Red Wings 5-2. This game was tied 2-2 after the 2nd but the Hawks went off for 3 in the 3rd.
The Red Wings beat the Sens 2-1 in OT. This was a good, even game where the Wings outshot the Sens 35-34. Athanasiou scored both goals for Detroit.
I have to keep these short today. My daughter is dealing with a bad flu so she is constantly throwing up and my other two kids are, of course, concerned so need to keep them away. And my mother is in the hospital with a recurring issue
A busy night with 12 games.
Lightning vs Canadiens Betting Tips:
The Lightning are on a 2 game win streak and are 8-2 over their last 10.
The Habs are on a 5 game losing skid and have looked terrible during this stretch scoring only 4 times.
I can’t back Montreal right now against the best team in the league.

Knights vs Blues Betting Tips:
The Knights continue to impress. They are now on a 8 game win streak and I have to back them until they give me a reason not to.
The Blues are riding a 2 game win streak into this game but are 4-6 over their last 10.
These teams played in October and it was Vegas winning 3-2.
Again I’ll back the Knights until they come back down to earth.

Sorry about your issues Scott. Hope your day gets somewhat better….. Hit it with Red Wings yesterday, I played both reg and ML- I took ML larger and ended up with an ‘amazing’ £9 profit haha. Profit is profit, and last night wasn’t exactly ripe with opportunity, although Wings should really have managed more than 1 and won in reg. I’m actually with Scott on his tips today, and that makes me slightly nervous of that for some reason. Here’s is hoping I continue my good run tonight and we all get some more money in the bank. The Dogs are barking tonight!
POTD- Ducks Reg/ML (65%/70%) – I feel ballsy for making ducks another pick of the day, but I like them again tonight even if the bookies think they’re the dogs. I’m not complaining about getting extra value, but wonder why the bookies think the Oilers win this. Maroon is suspended for the Oilers, and thats not good news considering he is their 3rd highest point player in the team and the Oilers need all the help they can get now. The Oilers have slumped again, and I’m not all the surprised. Lets look back at their little 4 game streak for analysis. They beat the Habs, Blues, Sharks and Wild. Habs have been generally dreadful and look set to miss the playoffs, the Blues have been going through a bit of a dip struggling to get goals, the Sharks were without Couture and have also looked spotty on the road. The Wild win was the most impressive of the wins, but the Oilers general success has been on the road this season, and Wild had no Dubynk and at that game was the start of one of the worst dips the Wild have had this season. The wins don’t impress me much. Since then the Oilers have come back down to earth and have been pretty much bent over in their last two games; conceding 10 goals and scoring none. Keeping in mind that again tonight they’re without an important 1st line player, are they going to stop a ducks side who is looking in control and maybe about to make a playoff run? In my opinion, having watched both these sides games, the Ducks were looking better than the Oilers even with all their injuries. Now with a few of their key players back do I think the Ducks have what it takes it stick it to the Oilers? Hell yes, and at an underdog price just makes it sweeter. The odds have dropped on the ducks over the day, as the market seems to have decreasing faith in the Oilers chances of winning this, so I would jump on this as soon as possible. ML large play for me, and small play on reg.

Not anymore lol Thanks to mother nature. I’ll get back to you on a parlay. I had placed a 3 way parlay for fun with Ducks Reg, Bolts Reg and Bruins reg for 11x return. Bolts Reg and Ducks is alright for now. I’ll see if I can find a nice combo besides that.
Wilds have been very solid at home 8/2 meanwhile Buffalo has been very bad away, 2/8. Wilds Reg seems like an interesting option
I think this has the possibility of being a trap pick. The only value is in reg and Sabres have only lost twice in reg in their last 7. They’ve taken the game to OT several times this season (I think almost most in the league) have won 3 of the last 5 in Minnesota, and barely lost 4-5 to the wild last time out. Wild are looking good again and have been money and home, but currently I’m not sure. I’ll do a Iittle more digging.
I came up with a really funny bet, I put there only 0.2 units, but I still think it is worth a shot 🙂

Be good for updates when players get injured or taken off IR etc. I really liked Vegas after the 1st period v the Preds the other night and suggested it to someone who messaged me on FB (plz don’t do that)… Were outshooting Preds 15-4. That sort of thing would be a useful in an active chat.

Hey I tried to comment on this yesterday but the train I was on blocked betnhl due to “gambling” so I was unable to do so. I explained over e-mail why I didn’t want a Facebook page set up either official or unofficial – the biggest one being that Facebook are anti-gambling(despite hosting many gambling pages on there) and could close it at a whim like they already did in the past. I’m looking into alternatives however within the site such as a forum eventually or a chat interface during games and now I’m back from Scotland I’ll be able to focus on it and hopefully have something up here soon. But I really don’t want anything with Facebook set up.

Suprised not seeing you backing the Pens tonight, old sport. Coming off a impressive 5-1 win on the road over the Flyers, while the Hurricanes lost in OT in a tough match against the Capitals. With home court advantage and momentum, I like the Pens tonight.
Still can’t get behind a team with 5 wins in their last 13 games. Beating the Flyers is nothing to write home about. Canes haven’t been that bad and Pens that good for me to be confident taking either.
As I said in my post and the thoughts before Flyers – Pens. With Schultz and Letang back this will easily be Pens. They are soo damn important for the back line, and looks like they fired up the whole team.
Took the Pens regulation here, they will probably do PL -1,5 as well.
I’ve taken the Pens in so many parlays before and they’ve always let me down. Can’t back them up anytime soon, even though they’ll probably pull through tonight.

I have a gut feeling the Habs may win tonight after their big team talk after the last game. Just a gut feeling though.
For teams to have major turnarounds after a “talk” or screaming session from the coach, they have to have the depth of talent to make an adjustment. This isn’t Montreal’s year for that. Every team is now focused on the playoff position race, and tonight, Tampa can’t be toyed with by a lousy Montreal team that requires a major overhaul, not a chat with the coach.
Can’t fault that logic.

First time posting, but having been following for quite some time. I’m an Oilers fan at heart and have been for years, but this year sure has been a disappointment. Before I’m Boo’d off of the page I’ll leave that behind me. I’ll add in what I can to be helpful in the discussion but some of you are very systematic and impressive to say the least. I’ve been on a bit of a run since the start of November by taking my account to 22.5x my initial investment but I’d be lying if I didn’t say NFL is a huge help. I will certainly try to be of some help!

– As mentioned before I am certainly an Oilers fan but not scared to bet against them. Unfortunately it is pretty typically they pull out a fasonable win when I do so. The Oilers have talent and that is no surprise, it’s just of matter of when it shows up. Inconsistency makes tipping the Oilers or their opponent a bit nerve racking. Maroon is starting his 2 game suspension tonight and is a point getter for the Oil but honestly anyone who plays beside McDavid racks up the points. The Oilers will break out – just a matter of when.

Man as much as I thought Oilers had to break out I don’t think they have or necessarily will. That little 4 game win stretch wasn’t much, and weren’t against really any special opposition. The second they’ve come up against sides that are in form they just crumble.

Like the tips for tonight, however here’s my thoughts:
Flyers vs Islanders (over 5.5)
The Islanders keeps on showing us that they’re not that good when they’re playing away, but they show that they can score aswell. The Flyers usually score, and let in aswell. So over 5.5 is a strong play. Flyers ML could also be a nice pick, if Halak starts in goal.
Penguins – Hurricanes (Penguins REG)
So, the Canes defo look like the better side, but after the preformance Pens had against Flyers I’m all in on them tonight. Two important defensmen are back for Pens, so they’re looking much better than before. Over 5.5 is also a nice play for this game as the Canes probably will find the net a few times.
Wild – Sabres (Wild REG / AH -1)
Wild is looking sharp and even though Buffalo usually drag games to OT this will be wild for sure. Buffalo can’t find the back of the net when they’re away from home so this is a nice pick for tonight. Wild also have a nice home record, and will look to get closer to the stars in the Central division.
Leans:
TML vs Sharks (over 5.5) – Both teams can score and let in goals, can see this go over 5.5.
Stars vs Devils (over 5.5) – Same as over, Stars score and let in loads of goals, same with Devils.
Yotes vs Preds (Preds REG) – Preds are defo looking to bounce back after that Knights loss, and Yotes aren’t the best team in the world. With Josi back, and Forsberg the only major injury this will be Preds all the way.
Flames vs Kings (Kings ML) – Kings are just looking really good, only reason.
Jackets vs Avalanche (over 5.5) – Both teams tend to score and let in goals. Jackets score goals away, but also let in a lot.

Tbh both Ducks and Vegas scare me a bit tonight, Ducks are looking fly, but Oilers could show up unexpectedly. Vegas is probably the best team in the NHL at the moment, but Blues can also take this if they really want to. Vegas has shown that they can give it away to teams like Jets, Wild and Oilers.
Oilers have the worst PK in the league in the last 5 games. Oilers could show up, just like any team could show but I’m happy to play them with the great price. Blues have no offence at the moment, and every time someone thinks Vegas is going to lose..they don’t

I’m with you on Bolts and Ducks. Stars have a way of showing up when they want to and playing down to competition. I’m not sure PL is worth more than a <1u bet. Canes are pesky and bring it every night while Pens are in total disarray. They could certainly turn it on like Blackhawks did last night but it's not a sharp bet IMHO. I'd actually prefer Canes ML or OT. Sharks are still missing Couture and that's a huge hole. Tough to back them on the road against an explosive team like TML. Isles have Griess in net tonight and he's a disaster, I like the over though.

Looks like my old haunts are going to get hammered by a snowstorm this week that could drop up to 2 feet. Does anyone here live in the northeast?
Today I’m picking the favorites to continue their dominance of the competition. I think the Knights, Bolts, Ducks, Kings and Preds all have a good chance at winning their games. Their recent records support these plays and I don’t any major concerns (injuries or weak goaltenders), aside from Forsberg for Preds and the Preds should handle the Yotes just fine without him.
I also see the Isles-Flyers game going over. Isles are GF 3.4 / GA 3.6 and Flyers are GF 2.7 / GA 2.9. Griess is in net for Isles and he has been leakier than the Trans-Canadian pipeline. 1u -125

To Win in Regulation: Tampa, LA, Anaheim, Nashville
Great points by so many today. I’m also not touching the Minnesota game, because Buffalo has had success against Minn and those odd-result rivalries have to be taken seriously. Also not going with the Islanders OVER 6.5, though I’d jump on it if it was 5.5. The last 10 games of those two hover around the 6 and 7 goal level and 6.5 just takes the draw out of it for me. I’d expect a minimum 5 goals in that game though. Islanders are 3-6-1 in their last 10, so they’re not reliable this week.
The leans are too tricky today to feel good about. Not going with UNDER with Calgary, because while Calgary can’t score against good teams (maybe 1 goal?), LA can score often and has good defense. If Calgary’s constant major line shuffling finds a good chemistry tonight, LA may have to play the full 60 minutes and win 5-1 and go Over. Same with Nashville O/U; Nashville may be able to just shut down AZ so fast, they win 3-1 without breaking a sweat.

i chose not to wager again yesterday. I feel better for keeping my current balance. I did suggest Red Wings in regulation wasn’t a good idea. It was all based on a hunch, mind.
Onto tonight, and I too was due to place on the Bruins game. I really thought they would win.
Value today is in Vegas (AGAIN). Noting Oliver’s comments on ST Louis, I completely agree. Offensively, StL just aren’t at the races. I personally feel there is too much reliance on Tarasenko and he’s not taking the weight on his shoulders. I would advise on taking Knights ML @ 2.0 or similar.
ALternatively – or additionally – Tampa are on fire at the moment. If there is a ever a moment to take them on a Win – as close to guaranteed as possible without jinxing it – tonight is it. Montreal are just damn awful and have been the majority of the season.

Penguins win Reg, Hurricanes is not a bad team, but i think Penguins are on a winning streak after some bad games and they have a few players back. And they have to win to climb the table! P. Kessel to score.
Stars win ML, still a good home team, but they lost against a bad Jackets team at home! I also think its going to be a high scoring game, maybe 4-3. T. Seguin to score.
Ducks is really playing well and they should win tonight against a really bad Oilers team. But still i pick Oilers win Reg, because a feeling. Should i trust my stomach feeling!? Lets see….

Grats for the success around here lately.
Been probably the best stretch of the season personally since going for OT in the winter classic, 8-1 since, but tonight gives me headache. (As does hangover that still doesn’t seem to go away lol)
There are a lot of different factors in play. For instance, 2 consecutive blowouts is usually one of the better wake-up spots to go for. But it’s always a leap of faith type of thing and man i don’t know..
At first glance i think there might be quite a few surprising results and OT’s in the mix, not the best night to load up on the favorites but that’s just me. Haven’t looked up everything yet but it’s gut check time for a lot of teams right now and you have to expect a response.
