We had no tips yesterday and after seeing the results of the games I’m glad we didn’t.
The Oilers were the underdogs and came out and beat the Leafs 6-4. McDavid scored an unreal goal and added 3 assists in the win. The Oilers were up 3-0 early in the 2nd and the Leafs made a game of it but the Oilers held on for the win.
One game we had looked at as a tip was over in the Avalanche vs Islanders game. We decided it wasn’t worth the play as the Isles have been such a strong team defensively. The Isles won 1-0. Varlamov made 32 saves for his second shutout of the year and 27th of his career.
The Blue Jackets vs Kings game was one where we had no idea how it would turn out. The Jackets won 4-2.
Our poll question was with the new additions the Habs made, who would win in their game against the Jets. The top two answers were Jets to win incl OT/SO and Jets in regulation and both were right when they won 3-2. Kovalchuk picked up an assist in his first game with Montreal and first NHL action in almost 2 months.
A full night of hockey for us with 12 games scheduled.
Islanders vs Devils Betting Tips
The Islanders finally got a goal after going 4 days or 130 minutes of NHL action without one. They scored first in the game against the Devils on Thursday but lost that one and were shutout in their game against the Leafs on Saturday. It took them until the 3 period to score yesterday. With the goal and the win they should gain some momentum moving forward.
The Devils are at home where they haven’t been very good going 6-9-6. The Isles are 12-7-1 on the road this season.
With the Isles picking up that win yesterday and taking on a team who has struggled at home I like their chances.

Flames vs Blackhawks
This is a tip where I’m sure some people will argue against.
The Hawks have won 4 of 5 and now play their next 3 at home after beating Detroit in Chicago on Sunday. This is a crucial home stretch for the Hawks and they need to play better at home before the season slips away from them.
The Flames have gone 4-5-1 over the last 10 but enter the game today as winners of their last 2.
The Hawks, despite all of the injuries they are facing at the moment, have been playing some decent hockey and it’s games and stretches like this one at home where they need to pick up points.
