Busy night last night with 10 games. Had 2 tips and went 2-0.
Had the Leafs to beat the Flyers and they did 3-2 in what was a close game where the Leafs only had 17 shots on goal.
Also had the Knights -1.5 against the Sharks and thanks to an empty net goal from Hertl this came through with the 4-2 win.
Jets beat the Preds and Hellebuyck picked up his 300th career win in the victory, Oilers beat the Bruins 4-0, Stars beat Rangers 5-4 in OT and the Lightning won 3-2 vs the Canes as Point scored in the final minute.
We have 4 games tonight.
Avalanche vs Blackhawks
Avalanche are playing great going 8-1-1 in last 10 and in 3rd in the Central. It seems as though they have finally got themselves on track to contend for one of the top spots in the league.
The Hawks are seeing Bedard refind his scoring ways but they weren’t expected to do anything this year and they certainly aren’t. They are last in the Central and last in the league.
I would think that the Avs win this game but it would need to be -1.5 and 2 of their last 3 games needed extra time.
Canucks vs Capitals
As I have mentioned before, I’m staying away from the Canucks. They are 3-3-4 in last 10 and have lost 2 in a row.
The Caps are 13-4-3 at home and have Ovechkin back which is a crucial part to any and all success this team is going to have. They have lost 3 of their last 5 games which isn’t giving me any confidence in them for this game.
Panthers vs Utah
Panthers are in 2nd in the Atlantic, are 6-4 in last 10 and on the road they have gone 12-7-1.
Utah is in 6th in the Central, have gone 4-4-2 in last 10 and at home they are 5-7-4.
I want to go with Panthers in this game but the data doesn’t back that play enough. They are just slightly better in CF, SF/60, GF/60 and GA/60.
If I was to take Panthers it would be just to have a tip and that’s not way to play so I’m passing on this but it was the closest to being a tip out of all the games today.
Flames vs Kings
Nothing here I like.
Flames played last night and are 5-3-2 in last 10, Kings on 4 game win streak and are 6-2-2 last 10.
The Flames road play hasn’t been very good going 6-8-4, the Kings on the other hand have been amazing at home going 14-2-1.
I want to take the Kings as they have been so good at home but the Flames have better Corsi numbers and SF/60. Would prefer this if we could find the Kings in regulation for better odds but it has to be -1.5 and I’m fine skipping it.

oh and they close out the month at Dallas. God damn. And they’ve had key guys banged up. And have played a lot of extra hockey with a three way tie of 13 games going past regulation.
Washington Ovechkin to score +130 has so far been my only play and I’m not that crazy about it. I could see Wilson scoring again at +230 maybe.
Closest that I considered were Chicago Bertuzzi +340. He might have started clicking with Bedard and I don’t think the books have caught up yet.
Colorado Makar +300 was another. Oh yeah Washington Chychrun +600 could be great value. I briefly thought about Carlson but he’s not going much higher than Chychrun.
I think I’ll be going with To Score plays on
Washington Ovechkin +130
Colorado Makar +300
Chicago Bertuzzi +340
Washington Chychrun +600.
But I don’t feel confident in any of these plays. Even Ovi. Wouldn’t advise anyone to take them either. The Bertuzzi and Chychrun are just too good a price for me to pass on. But nothing is jumping out or indicating me to take them. Wouldn’t be surprised if none of them come through. Will see if I was better off just punting on the day.
